Physiotherapy practice owned and operated by Sarah Eby, Physiotherapist and Yoga Instructor.
The forest and nature have filled my feed lately, and it’s been intentional.
Not only has it been an easy source of scenic pics and videos when I’ve been spending so much time there. But more importantly, reconnecting with nature has helped me reconnect with myself, brought me home to myself - it’s where I feel like the best, strongest, most calm version of me.
Here are some of the many other benefits of time in nature:
- It’s a place to pause, break from routine, and just be in the present moment
- It’s a place to practice mindfulness via forest bathing
- It’s fresh air, especially if you spend your days indoors as the temperatures drop
- It’s exercise and movement!
- It can improve pain thresholds and reduce stress
- It can boost your immune system
Fun fact: A recent study found that 120 minutes of nature time per week is associated with self-reported good health and high wellbeing.
That’s it, just two hours total!

So, have you gotten outside today?
Where do you feel the most like yourself?
I love this time of year.
I love fall colours.
I love Algonquin.
The end.
The first week of September can feel intense! New routines, back to school, back to all the things that pause in the summer months. 😅
Despite this sudden shift, fall has always been my favourite season. The crisper air, the cooler nights, the changing trees - it feels like a refresh and refocus after the (necessary) summer fun and relaxation.
As the sun slowly sets on the summer season and we move into fall it can be a great time to pause, reflect, and reset.
I’m feeling inspired and excited to work on some things I’ve been mulling over the last months. 🥰
What are you looking forward to this fall? Or is summer your #1? Any goals or inspiration you’re refocusing on?
