It was in 1971 at St. Agathe, ON.
Class A were 650's and class B were 500's . (Jimmy was in class B on a 1961 500 Triumph)
Combined riders there were about 30.
Prize money was spent on beer and Jim's wife Robin had to drive home. 🤣
He won !!

Trent Lowe came out victorious at the Battle at the Border. He won both the 450 Expert and the Open Expert (which he had an impressive nearly half track lead over second place Doug Lawrence)

Battle at the Border is heating up to be a great battle.

Confirmed American riders include Slammin’ Sammy Halbert, Chase Saathoff, Trent Lowe, Brandon Newman, Ryan Wells, Justin Jones, Billy Ross, Wyatt Vaughan and Cameron Smith.

The current Canadian champion, several former champs, and other experts will try to prove to the hometown crowd that 🇨🇦 has what it takes to beat 🇺🇸
Our usual Canadian experts include Tyler Seguin, Brandon Seguin, Doug Lawrence, Doug Beattie, Dustin Brown, Hunter Bauer, Liam Caskie, Clayton Isherwood (among others). Don Taylor is out of retirement, and Chris Evans and Taia Little are both returning after an injury. Quebec riders Dave Pouliot and Dominic Beaulac will also be attending.

Kids school is cancelled today.
Unfortunately the track is still too wet to hold the youth school today. We will try and come up with another date that works with everyone's schedules.

Practice with direction & discussion with expert level riders. Youth riders with some experience are welcome and encouraged to attend.

We’re pumped for the Battle at the Border on June 1. Come watch the Canadian and Americans battle it out on the track for their piece of the $12000 pro purse.

This year, Biketoberfest is proud to have partnered with The Hope Centre. 1st prize is a Harley-Davidson Sportster S. 2nd prize is $2000.

The Hope Centre offers a wide range of services that help individuals and families in Welland that are facing challenges related to poverty including mental health, addictions, food insecurity and housing instability. They assist, support, empower and advocate for the most vulnerable members of our community.

Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased from most members.
