As our 115th anniversary Founders’ Day approaches, nothing is more meaningful than when our alumnae take the time to share wonderful updates such as this one. Joan Allan Horrocks and Diane Angus Webster both graduated from ECS in 1955; Joan lives in Chatham, Massachusetts and enjoyed lunch with Diane in Montreal last week. Once an ECS girl, always an ECS girl! 💚

Yesterday we hosted our annual OG breakfast for our graduating Class of ‘25! Many thanks to Dr. Alexis Haligua ‘99 who added a great message about friendship, connection and Old Girl wisdom as our guest speaker. An inspiring way to begin this new school year!

In loving memory of former Head of School, Ms. Susyn Borer 🌹

Dear ECS family,

it is with a heavy heart that I share the news that former Head of School, Ms. Susyn Borer, has passed away. She served our community from 1996–2006 and left an indelible mark on students, faculty and staff.

Ms. Borer joined ECS in July of 1996, and embodied our founding ethos of stewarding each girls unique journey through leadership, community service and academic excellence. As Head of School, I am both inspired and moved by Ms. Borer’s impact.

We will forever honour her legacy through the Susyn Borer Advocacy and Action Forum, which was established to fulfil her objective of promoting social justice, social responsibility and an understanding of global issues.

We extend our deepest sympathies to her loved ones.
