π Get to know Beulah Priscilla Soundar, a UWindsor Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering! π
π Beulah accomplishments include a Tech Lead of the Google Developers Students Club (GDSC) at the University of Windsor. As the Tech Lead of GDSC she led the largest tech workshop of the year. She has also been a part of the GDSC dev fest 2023.
π° Her favourite thing about UWindsor is the importance given by the University education and diversity.
β¨She chose UWindsor because UWindsor is accommodating to new students. Also hearing from @ ALUMNI please tag the alumni association)
π¨π€ Beulah is a trained pianist and singer. She is very interested in coding. Her goal is to be a successful Full Stack Developer in the future.

The GSS and the Windsor Detroit Bridge Authority are collaborating to offer a tour for UWindsor grad students to witness the construction progress and learn about the engineering of the Gordie Howe Bridge.
Scheduled to open in September 2025, the Gordie Howe International Bridge will provide a new international crossing between Windsor, Ontario, and Detroit, Michigan.

π Meet Malhar Raval, a Master's student in Applied Computing at UWindsor for the 2023-2024 academic year! π
π Malhar is a Full-stack Software Engineer with over 3 years of experience in end-to-end software product development. He previously worked at a startup in Vancouver, Canada, for a year.
π° He loves how green and peaceful the University of Windsor campus is, creating a perfect environment for studying and relaxing. His favorite place on campus is the Leddy Library.
β¨ Malhar chose the University of Windsor because of the fantastic city itβs located in, which offers great quality of life and a welcoming community. The Applied Computing program's exceptional curriculum, professors, and valuable co-op opportunities also stood out to him.
π¨π€ Besides being a tech enthusiast, Malhar is a cinephile with a passion for cinematography. His near-future goal is to join a development team that creates innovative projects pushing the boundaries of technology. Additionally, he aims to film 365 days of 2025, doing unique activities each day, such as surfing, hiking Canada's most challenging trails, and racing on the F1 Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal.

The Mahsa Amini Memorial Scholarship officially opens up for the first time today August 1st. GSS contributed $10,000 and collaborated with to award one student $1000 every year with the aim of supporting female graduate students of Iranian descent at the University of Windsor. The scholarship highlights the legacy of Mahsa Amini, the profound impact her passing had worldwide, and the social activism that followed.

π Meet Sivakumar Manoharan, a Master of Applied Computing student at UWindsor! π
π Before pursuing his Master's, Sivakumar worked as a Software Development Engineer in India for two years.
π° His favourite thing about the UWindsor is how it made him feel at home, helping him avoid homesickness by integrating into the community.
β¨ Sivakumar chose UWindsor for its affordability and well-structured program.
π¨π€ Sivakumar's hidden talent is his ability to speak four Indian languages fluently. His future goals include learning French and Spanish.

π Shivani's accomplishments include working as an assistant professor back home and authoring over 20 research articles and papers.
π° Her favourite aspects of UWindsor are its diversity and enthusiasm.
β¨ Shivani chose UWindsor because it offers a great environment to study, enjoy, make new friends, and learn about different cultures all in one place.
π¨π€ Shivani's hidden talent is that she is an artist, and she aims to pursue a PhD. This is her second Master's degree.
Additionally, Shivani believes UWindsor is the best place to study and stay motivated, making new friends, participating in various events, and experiencing kindness and love.

π Meet Harsh Zaveri, a Master's student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at UWindsor, currently in his 4th semester! π
π Harsh's accomplishments include serving as Vice President and Student Ambassador of the IBM Z Windsor Student Chapter, mentoring in the MEng Program, and being a member of the UWin Rocket Team.
π° His favourite thing about UWindsor is the CAW building, a fantastic place to hang out with friends and enjoy frequent live events.
β¨ Harsh chose UWindsor for its cultural diversity and temperate climate, making it the perfect place to pursue his Master's degree.
π¨π€ Outside of academics, Harsh enjoys dancing, playing tennis, and socializing. His goal is to become a professional Data and AI Consultant.
Additionally, Harsh is fortunate to work at ISC and the Alumni Association, which has been a thrilling and memorable on-campus experience. He also serves as an Outreach volunteer for the BAPS Swaminarayan Temple.

The Founding Story of GSS
The Graduate Student Society (GSS) is the official representative organization of all graduate students at the University of Windsor.
The Society was established and incorporated in 1980. The founding leaders were inspired by a popular national trend in that era to establish a unified voice for masters' students, as done on many other campuses across Canada.
Since its inception, GSS has been crafted with governance, processes and an increasing value proposition to its members. The value proposition generally includes programs, which comprise of services and events, designed to advance and defend the interest of member students.
