We are so blessed to have Margarita Dueck join our Admin team! Margarita has been training for the past month as our Office Manager and she fits right in! You will see her smiling face at the front desk and she will also be working behind the scenes to help with the bookkeeping and other managerial duties. Margarita brings with her over 20 years of administrative experience and we are so lucky to have access to her skills and expertise.

A huge congratulations to this beautiful RMT graduate, Amy Derksen!! 👏🏻 She has worked tirelessly over the past 2 years and she finally graduated this past Friday. We are so proud of her and so grateful for the opportunity to mentor another student who will be able to help more people in our community. It’s truly an honor to build into our future colleagues and create this amazing network in order to extend our reach far and wide.

For those that have seen her, you know how amazing she is at what she does. She is going to be a fantastic RMT. Amy is completing her LAST 2 WEEKS of practicum as a student at our clinic and then she will be working out of her own location (see last picture for details). Happy Administrative Professionals day! What a perfect day to announce our newest Administrative Professional, Kim Doell, who compliments our already fantastic team! I can’t believe how lucky we are to have the best Admin team around.

Kim has been working at our clinic for almost a month now and she has been such a wonderful blessing to our staff and patients. Her laugh and positive energy are contagious and she is always ready to serve. You can read her full bio on our website (link in bio).

I often hear people say ‘I’d love to work here if you ever have an opening!’ Now is your opportunity to join our team at Renew Wellness Center! We are hiring a part time admin assistant to work Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays during the evening from 4 pm until 10 pm as well as one Saturday per month from 9:30 am until 4 pm. Saturday shifts are never on long weekends. Although this position is part-time, this staff member will be provided with opportunities to pick up additional shifts to cover sick leave, holidays, etc.

This is an excellent position for a stay-at-home parent who wants get out a bit, a high school student or someone who’s already working but just needs a bit more income to tie them over with rising costs.

You must have an outgoing personality, be organized, willingness to learn, be knowledgeable with computer programs, easy to get along with and have a servant heart! At Renew Wellness Center we are eager and ready to serve our clients with a smile on our faces and the candidate that will be hired will need to possess those same qualities. We can’t wait to have you join our team!

It’s been a few years, but we are bringing back couples massages for TWO DAYS ONLY!! Our year 1 students are starting at the beginning of February and they are excited to provide clients with the relaxation massage skills they have already learned. On Friday, February 16 and Friday, February 23 we will have a few spots open for these students to provide you with a couples massage (in the same treatment room) as a special treat for Valentines Day! It’s only $80 for BOTH of you to receive a massage which is an amazing deal for this type of service. This is not available for online booking, so give our office a call at 204-325-8386 to book this service. If it’s a surprise for your loved one, let us know so we can book both appointments under your name until you arrive in order to prevent your loved one from getting any notifications.

Change is hard, but change is also necessary. With that being said, we say best wishes to our beloved Vikki who has been greeting you at the front desk for the past 3 years! She’s been so fantastic at her role here at the Clinic and as the seasons change, it’s time for her to step away from this role. Today will be her last evening at Renew and we want to wish her much success in the future!

It was 4 years ago that we opened the doors of Renew Wellness Center! We have grown so much in that time and I am so blessed to work alongside all of these amazing people. The ones who have come & gone have been a huge blessing as well and I am grateful for how God has paved the way for this business as the years have gone by. It’s not without the amazing support of our clients and my staff that this business is thriving. I feel so humbled and I want to say a HUGE thank you to all who support us in what we do!! We have the best clients EVER!!

Remember a few weeks ago when Kelly was celebrating her graduation? Well, she will be starting at at Renew on August 7 (yes we are open on the Monday of the August long weekend)!! She will be offering hours at our clinic on Mondays during the day and one Saturday per month. Limited spots available for Saturday bookings with her.

We are excited to welcome Peter Wiebe to our team as a newly graduated RMT! He will be starting August 7 and you can start booking your appointments with him now!

He will be working Monday, Wednesday & Thursday evenings, Tuesdays & Fridays during the day as well as 2 Saturdays per month! Peter is the only therapist currently accepting new patients for evenings & Saturdays. All of our other therapists are currently full with clientele for those times.

Congratulations to Lena Bese, Peter Wiebe & Kelly Roy on graduating from Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapies. Peter is finishing up his clinic practicum next week so you have a few more days to get in with him as a student before they start working as RMT’s.

You’ll be in excellent hands with any one of these new grads. We were so lucky to have them complete their clinic hours at Renew. We will let know right here on social media when we have more students returning.

Fun fact: Did you know Dr Victoria Baldwin (ND) is an instructor at Wellington? She gave the toast to the students (last picture).

Look at how happy Kelly is to finish up her very last day of clinic hours today, ha ha! Kelly brings so much joy and happiness to our clinic. We are going to miss her bubbly spirit for a bit, but she WILL be returning in August as an RMT!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

We finally have our plant hanger display mounted, and we think it’s perfect! We are growing Peppermint & After Eight (chocolate) mint right now. Soon we will have another mint and Sage in there as well.

These plant hangers are available for pre-order at $20 each or $25 if you want one with a white or marble grey pot (cash only). They are so pretty and there are a few different styles and lengths you can choose from.

We are excited to grow our own herbs to add to our water to provide some additional flavoring. What kind of mixtures would you like us to try? I’ll put some polls in our stories that you can vote on or leave a comment if you have a blend you think we should try!

Mosquito season is upon us in full force. Whether you’re at a sporting event, camping or just sitting around the fire, you’ll want these sticky mosquito patches from to help ward off those pesky insects. These are especially great for little kids if you don’t want to apply mosquito spray. You just stick these to their clothing and the mosquitoes stay away. We have 4 boxes right now and each box has 24 patches in it.

We are open Monday-Friday from 9 am until 10 pm.

Renee had her first full week at the clinic and it was fantastic! She has been a great addition to the team. She is still accepting new patients for day time appointments on Mondays & Thursdays, but June is almost fully booked.

Call us at 204-326-8386 to book your next appointment. We are fully booked for the next 4-6 weeks. Occasionally you’ll get lucky & find an opening online, but if you’re not finding anything, it’s due to the fact that you can only book appointments that are 30 days in advance. Lee & Hugo are the only have 2 therapists accepting openings for evening appointments at this time. All other RMT’s are fully booked for evenings at this time & are not accepting new patients for those spots.

Did you know that we have little figurines hidden throughout our waiting area for kids (or adults) to seek and find while they wait for their appointment or maybe while a family member gets a treatment. Next time you come for your appointment, see how many you can find. I think we have at least 9 hidden already and we move them regularly so you can search for them again at your next appointment. Please welcome Renee Wall who is a new RMT at Renew Wellness Center!! She has been an RMT for 3 years and she’s excited to be working at Renew on Monday’s & Thursday’s during the day. We have our NEW BOOKING SYSTEM open now! If you have been to our clinic before, you can log in to your patient portal by selecting “Yes” when asked if you have used the patient portal before. Click ‘forgot password’ to reset your login for our new site and then you’ll have access to all your appointments, just like our past system. You’ll be able to easily add yourself to the waitlist from there if you need, complete your new intake form, update your profile information, view and print any past receipts and so much more.

Lena has been at Renew for over 2 years! Many of you have been blessed to receive a treatment from Lena as a student. Lena completed her last day at our clinic last week as she takes time to prepare for her final exams. She will graduate as an RMT in June, and then she will be practicing out of her home.

It was so great to have Lena at our clinic and we wish her all the best as she pursues her career goals! She will be a fantastic RMT!

Happy International Women’s Day!

We are so lucky to have 15 strong, beautiful women at Renew that we celebrate today, and every day. When we understand who we are in God’s eyes, we know that we are all equal in status. Every woman is a creature made in God’s image, and endowed with inherent dignity, worth and value. As many Jews just finished celebrating the feast of Purim, I’m reminded that I want to be more like Esther. She was brave, selfless, smart, humble and obedient to God. In her obedience, she stopped the planned massacre of the Jewish people.

When you acknowledge what you can accomplish as a women, without suppressing what others can accomplish as well, that’s when we can achieve amazing things!

VISCERAL MASSAGE

This weekend 5 of our RMT’s and one student completed Level 1 of the Visceral Massage course taught by the talented, Carol Dobrinsky! We are very excited to start implementing these techniques with our patients. Visceral massage can be very effective for the following conditions:

*IBS / Constipation
*Hiatal Hernia
*Acid Reflux
*Back pain
*Shoulder pain
*and so much more

Amy is a Year 1 student who has recently started her clinic hours at Renew. Amy is taking the full time Massage Therapy course at Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapies. We are so excited to have her start her journey with her hands-on hours at our clinic.

This week she completed her second clinic day and she has already received fantastic reviews from clients coming out of her treatments. As a first year student, a 60 minute massage is only $30 (tax included). That’s a steal of a deal!

Another bonus is that Amy will be accepting new clients on Thursday EVENINGS!! At the time of this post, she has one opening left on Feb. 23 and 2 openings on March 2 that are available for online booking. To book appointments more than 30 days in advance, please call our office at 204-325-8385.

We are thrilled to announce the first of our two new hires! Martha Haacke is a familiar face to many people in the Winkler area. She worked in customer service at Walmart for many years & always had a big smile on as she was ready to serve the customers. She has a huge heart for serving people and her laugh is contagious. Martha is also fluent in low German. Give her a call on Monday evenings to say hi.
