"For over 20 years John Longhurst has been at the vanguard of conversations about religion in our community. He has been our ‘beat reporter’ and has done so with curiosity, integrity, understanding, and intelligence. But he has not simply reported on what faith communities do, he has been more interested in what faith communities are thinking, experiencing, and how faith is being changed in a rapidly changing world. John asks the questions we are all thinking to ourselves, and our community is better for it."
—Rev. Dr. Michael Wilson, Charleswood United Church
This Wednesday at 7 pm, join John Longhurst for the launch of his book Can Robots Love God and Be Saved? A Journalist Reports on Faith (CMU Press), hosted by Rev. We mourn the passing of theologian Jürgen Moltmann, who has died at 98. In 1983, CMBC Publications (now, CMU Press) co-published (with Institute for Mennonite Studies in Indiana) this pamphlet by Moltmann. The following year, a dialogue pamphlet of responses to Moltmann's occasional paper was released.
