The Manitoba Fibre Festival is a unique annual gathering connecting local fibre farmers with the crafting community in a relaxed creative atmosphere.
The Festival is the place for those who knit, sew, weave or do other fine things with yarn, wool and the like.
Friday, September 6th from 3 to 9 pm and Saturday September 7 from 10 am to 4 pm.
Unfortunately I won’t be able to attend this year, but I have made the festival logo mugs again.
Pick up yours at the info table.

I’ll be at the Spring Fling Market harbour side in Kenora this Saturday and select Wednesdays for the Matiowski Farmers Market throughout the summer.
Open 10:00 to 2:00 pm this Saturday.

It’s going to be a hot day, both in temperature and sales. 10:00 am and it’s already busy.
C’mon down. Lots to see and experience.

It’s spring in Winnipeg.
Soon we’ll have local strawberries, blueberries and a host of other delicious fruits and berries.
What better way to have them is in a new berry bowl (or colander).
First batch of the year, fresh out of the kiln.
Small, medium, or large. Custom extra large available on request.
Of course, the drip plate is included!

Decorative Dragonfly tiles.
Similar to my platters and bowls, these will look great on the wall.
I’ve been wanting to make these for years. All hand made and unique.
Measuring 4” or 6.5” square, custom sizes are available.

Fuzed crackle glass in ceramic bowls.
You see through the fractured clear glass to the glazed surface below.
These bowls are made with a very course grit stoneware which is a great contrast to the smooth glass fuzed in during the second firing.
When these come out of the kiln the glass is usually one solid sheet which begins to fracture as it cools and then for the next few days.
When the sun hits them, they sparkle like rippled water in the sun.
Every one is unique. No two are ever the same. And they are soooooo cool!

Something new and different.
Fresh out of the kiln. Two new tea sets and a new glaze variation called rust.
First is the 30 oz straight sided tea pot with 4 new “short” style mugs.
Then a 20 oz straight sided tea pot with 2 barrel mugs.
Tea pots and mugs soon to be available separately.

It’s over
Festival du Voyageur is over for another year.
What a wonderful time over the last 10 days.
Thanks to my fellow vendors and who were a pleasure to work with.
Thanks to the FDV staff who were terrific.
And mostly, thanks to all my customers who visited my little booth in the souvenir tent.
