CALL FOR NOMINATIONS | BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Are you passionate about the arts and believe that theatre is a conduit to developing creative expression and self-confidence in young people?
If so, the Board of MTYP is seeking Board members for the term commencing November 2024, with skill sets to bring leadership and passion for our mission.
A MTYP Board Director is a volunteer role and includes a commitment of approximately 5 hours per month. As a Director, you will be asked to attend the monthly Board meeting, which currently takes place the last Tuesday of the month at 5:30 pm, and serve on one (or more) Board Committee (Finance, Governance, Human Resources, Development).
New board members will receive orientation, and ongoing training and development assistance is available to all Board members.
Nominees should have demonstrated leadership experience and excellence in their own field, while being enthusiastic about supporting MTYP and its future. The Board is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion and considers nominations from under-represented groups an asset.
Priority will also be given to those demonstrating expertise in either (a) accounting, including financial management and audit, or (b) human resources, including performance management and compensation.
If you would like to join a vibrant and committed Board excited about supporting theatre for young people, we would be so pleased to hear from you.

Our volunteers are involved in many aspects of MTYP, but nowhere more than at our shows. If someone scans your ticket, hands you a program or shows you to your seat, they are likely a volunteer. Huge thanks to these local heroes who believe in theatre for young audiences enough to keep showing up for them. Volunteers are the heart of MTYP. Bravo!
