The loveliest last working day of 2023 today, filled with the most wonderful clients 💪 and fizz 🥂 and Christmas cake after class 💫
I know I say it all the time but I really do ❤️ my job and I feel so very lucky 🍀
Logging off 👋 here for a little bit so that I can have some downtime and focus on my family over the festive period 🎄.
Wishing everyone the merriest of christmasses, see you in 2024 😘
📸 massive shout out to my final client of today who agreed to pose for this photo but didn’t really need to after the 10 minute AMRAP / EMOM finisher I set her today 💦 You are the best 💕

Big hands up 🙌 from baby Rosie and mum Nina for my lovely pregnant 🤰 client who has been working out with me consistently for the last 6 weeks and is feeling fab for it!
Pregnancy is hard. Pregnancy when you have an extra little person to take care of is hard. Pregnancy plus parenting plus work plus life = 🤯
It’s a lot! So my client telling me that she is feeling fab, strong and pain free feels like a massive win 🏅 .
Working out 🏋️♀️ during pregnancy (if you can) has so many benefits both physically and mentally. It can be tricky working out what’s best for you - get in touch if you need some support!

I often have mums joining my courses who are worried about their baby - what if they fuss or cry 😢 or need feeding 🍼?
I will always hold your baby (if you’re happy for me too) so that you can make the most of of your workout time 🏋️
Yesterday was the perfect example - little Milo just wasn’t happy lying and watching so he helped me do some teaching before nodding off 💤 in my arms after a bit of bobbing and swaying 💕
Happy baby, happy mamma 😍

It’s been such a treat having and gorgeous Léonard in not one but three of my classes 💕
I’ve watched Senka grow in confidence to happily hiking 🥾 in the mountains with (an increasingly heavy) baby in the backpack and I’ve also loved seeing Léonard grow into a curious little crawler and proud stander 🤩
I say it all the time but it’s honestly such a privilege 💕 to get to support mums on their postpartum journey.
New courses start in January - link in bio!

9km into my easy 10km run 🏃♀️ on Sunday and the ni**le in my calf I’d been feeling since about 5km got so bad that I had to call Guy 📞 to come and pick me up 😬
Fast forward ⏩ to today and a trip to my amazing osteo who confirmed that I’ve pulled (not torn, hurrah 🥳) my calf muscle and need to rest. Two weeks off running and then we see…
I’m meant to be running the Course du Duc this weekend and thought I’d be gutted but I’m actually OK 👍 Life’s felt pretty full on 🤯 lately and this feels like my body telling me to stop and slow down.
Unbelievably grateful that I’ve managed over 20 years of running 🏃♀️ and this is the first time I’ve ever had an injury that’s meant I needed to pull out of a race. Also a good reminder that none of us are invincible (and to warm up properly when it’s 🥶 outside!!)

Not sure this will become a regular feature but this conversation made me so happy 😀 and I love this joyful photo of (not the client I mention below!) so much that I just needed to share…
Hands down the highlight 🌟 of my week this week was a 121 client I’ve been working with for a few weeks telling me that she felt so good and full of energy after our session together that she’d been walking 👣 rather than taking the bus 🚌 (particularly noteworthy given she often has a pram and the fact that we’ve had non-stop ☔️)
It might not sound huge but little lifestyle changes like this make a massive difference and are all part of living healthier and happier 🤩 .
I’ve had lots of chats with clients this week about how hard it can be to find the time and motivation to exercise in amongst all of the other “to do’s” and how hard it can be just to get started.
Focus on what you can ✔️ do rather than what you can’t and take it from there!
What little changes can you make this week?

Real life footage from my workout this weekend 😂
My workouts and runs are my me time so it’s pretty rare that this scenario plays out.
But on Saturday I was grumpy 😠 and needed to move and Guy had popped out so I gathered the gang and we all headed to the gym 🏋️♀️ .
And it was ace 💜 Everyone happily got on and did their thing and I was reminded how important it is for my little people to see me taking care of me and my body and to remind them that girls can be strong 💪

Caitlin has worked so hard these last few months and it’s been amazing watching her get stronger and more confident in her postnatal body 🫶
Full testimonial here:
💭 It’s absolutely amazing to feel so much more like my old self again. Actually, I say my old self - but old Caitlin wasn’t ever doing push-ups in a plank! So in better shape than pre baby, who knew that was possible ❤️
Being a first time mum and going back to work has been SO much harder than I ever anticipated it might be, having your expertise and support to be the strongest version of myself has literally been invaluable.
My PT sessions with you were the best birthday 🎂 present I have ever given myself ❤️ you really pushed me, but in such a kind way. And now, it feels incredible to be able to run again, and to feel as strong as I do while carrying my gorgeous 12kg weight of a daughter with me wherever I go! 🗯️
Well done Caitlin 👏 It’s been a total joy 🥰

Trail des Gets. 21km. 1100m d+. 2hr53.
To run or not to run? That was the question I pondered all week last week… I wasn’t properly ill 🤧 but I definitely wasn’t on top form either.
One deeply unsympathetic trip to the doctor 🩺 later, I decided on Saturday that I was feeling better and that I’d go for it!
Driving up to Les Gets on Sunday, Bruce blaring 🎶 I felt excited! Let’s do this!
I mentioned this on my stories but the start line was ace… the organisers asked all the men to crouch down so that they could see and applaud all the female 🙋♀️ participants. Wow 🤩 Stuff like this is so important for making women feel included and showing that we do have a place on the start line (see .races for more!)
The race was fab - it’s always fun to be on familiar trails 🏔️ and the crowd support 📣 was great. I felt better than I expected, took the climb super steady and made myself run the flatter bits where I probably would have preferred to walk.
I’d hoped to finish in 3 to 3.5 hours and started to realise that I was well on target and might even sneak in just under… a little push to the finish and I’d made it. 2hr53 🏁. Middle of the pack (standard!) and over the blooming moon about it 🎉
Guy and the girls were delighted too as they only had to wait about 5 minutes until I appeared (Aida always complains that I take too long 😂 !)
This last month, I’ve started to feel fitter than I have done in a long while… I think I’m slowly figuring out how best to balance mumming, working and training 🤹♀️, I understand how to fuel and a couple of years of running on trails is paying off. I’m not about to break any records but I feel great and am loving taking on new challenges 👊
For any newly postnatal mammas out there a little reminder that you will get to where you want to be but it takes time, be kind to yourselves 💕

It’s been so much fun having and (almost) 3 year old Callum in my Postnatal Summer ☀️ classes (not forgetting baby Ettie too!) Callum has loved joining in and copying the moves 💪 !
Studies 📄 have shown that the more active 🏃♀️ a mother is, the more active her children are likely to be.
I really do understand that it can be hard to find the time ⏰ for exercise and I also know that we can often feel guilty for taking time for us.
But do it… do it for you and do it for your little ones too 💕
Babies and little people are all so welcome at my classes 🫶
New intake starts in September 🗓️

Last week I did nothing, well very little anyway - some gentle pedaling 🚲 around town for work, a few demonstration squats 🏋️♀️and a bit of walking (oh, and running around after two small people too 😂).
My body needed some time to recover after my race 🏃♀️. I ate all the food and tried to get some decent sleep 🛌 (always my downfall!)
When you are used to training regularly, taking some time off can feel tricky (I was definitely twitchy by the end of the week) but it is so so important. Rest is where the magic happens 💫 . We’re not designed to just keep pushing and just because you can, doesn’t mean you should!
Consider this your reminder to put your feet up, unwind and be kind to yourself and your body 💕

So incredibly proud of for absolutely smashing her 10km 🏃♀️ target yesterday in the
From not really running to 8 weeks of gradually building up distance and regular strength training weightlifting 🏋️♀️ , this hard work and consistency is what got her round the course yesterday. Got her round AND helped her do it in an even better time than she hoped 🥇!
Mercedes and I have worked together since the birth of her now 3.5 year old. After the birth of her youngest in 2021 she joined my Postnatal courses and since then has been progressively getting stronger and more confident in what her body can do.
With two small kids and a busy job, squeezing in some run training required some juggling 🤹♀️ but we found a plan and Mercedes stuck to it!
Absolutely awesome work Mercedes! You should be super proud. Now enjoy your well earned rest 😘

I always say that you don’t need 100’s of mum mates 💙 but just 1 or 2 people at the same stage as you, people who get you and what you might be going through!
My postnatal classes are the perfect opportunity to meet other mums and share the highs and the lows… the babies might even make friends too 💕

I genuinely get to work with the most wonderful people 💜 Elizabeth’s testimonial made me well up… her feeling stronger 💪🏻 is all down to her hard work:
💭 Hands down the best value for money in Geneva!
The classes were the highlight of my week! The group was encouraging and supportive - no one felt bad if their baby was fussing or crying and Lu was usually providing encouragement during sets whilst holding someone’s baby.
You won’t find a more supportive or beneficial program! I’m stronger now having done the Postnatal Foundations and Postnatal Next Steps courses than before I had my children 💭

Aida turned 5 🎂 this week… it’s such a cliché but wowee time goes fast! I felt super emotional about it.
Here’s a few things I’ve learned in 5 years of being her mum:
💜 It gets easier and more fun!
💛 I’m not always the mum I want to be, but that’s OK - not every day can be a good day
💚 Getting outside is always a good idea
💙 Mum mates are EVERYTHING
💚 Kitchen discos are often the answer… or snacks
🧡 No-one enjoys every minute
💜 I know what’s best for me and my family - it doesn’t matter what anyone else is doing
💙 Doing stuff for me makes me a better mum - do one, mum guilt!
💛 There will always be a to do list (and never-ending piles of washing)
💜 I should really go to bed earlier
❤️ Like Elsa, sometimes you really just got to « Let it Go »
Is there anything you’d add?!

Booking is now open for the intake of my next postnatal courses 🎉 so I thought it might be helpful to share a few posts about what’s included!
Everyone who joins my Postnatal Foundations course (suitable from 6 weeks postpartum) gets a pre-course 121, at home with me.
This takes around 30-40 minutes and is an opportunity to:
💫 Discuss your birth and your recovery to date
💫 Discuss any injuries or ni**les you have
💫 Discuss your goals for the course and beyond
💫 Assess you for diastasis recti
💫 Run through a few basic movements together so that we can see how they feel
💫 Get to know each other a little bit and run through any questions you might have
I’m so passionate about helping mums get back to moving after having a baby and doing it in a way that feels safe and supportive and these 121’s are an important part of that as well as meaning that I can take the best possible care of you in class 😘
Any questions 🙋♀️?! Drop them below or feel free to message me.

“I can’t imagine anything worse than running on a treadmill, why wouldn’t you just go outside and run?!”
This was me… then we had two kids 👨👩👧👧then work got busy and suddenly, I was struggling to find the time for runs 🏃♀️ in the week.
And this made me a bit sad 😢 because - I love running - it’s my me time, my thinking 💭 time, my run away from my grumpy mood time. And although I was working out 🏋️♀️ it just wasn’t quite the same. I’d also decided I wanted to do an event over the Summer but on just 1 run a week figured this might be tricky.
So I caved, and a few weekends ago I bought a secondhand treadmill. Game changer!! I can run 🏃♀️ when the kids are in bed 💤 whilst watching Below Deck 🛳️ - win!! (No judgement, please!)
Don’t get me wrong, I’ll always take a run outside 🌳 if given the choice and I’m yet to do more than 30 minutes ⏱️ but it feels like I have options and like setting a goal for the Summer is achievable!
Obviously we are super lucky 🙏 to have the space for a treadmill but I guess the point of this is that sometimes you just need to change things up a bit… I have a client at the mo who is a busy, working mum and training for the Geneva 10km - we’ve found her a training plan with just 2 runs a week - there are always solutions!
What can you do to help you reach your goal?

I love this quote (Michelle Obama, I think?!) and feel very grateful to have a life-filled with strong women:

So. Many. Awesome. Clients: mums, boss ladies, business owners, sportswomen, experts in their fields… what a privelige it is to work with such brilliant 🤩 women every single day. I ❤️ my job and I love it because of the women I get to work with.
And, of course, my girls. My strong girls club 💪🏻 Dream big little ones for you are stronger than you know and you have taught me that I’m stronger than I knew too.

One of the most asked questions about my courses is whether or not babies are welcome? And then, what happens if they cry 😢 or need feeding 🍼?
Babies are so so welcome 🤗 and I, and all the other mums on the course fully get that babies get upset, might need a cuddle 🥰 and can be unpredictable. No judgement, just bucket loads of support 💜
There are blankets for the babies to lie on 💤 and many mums are surprised by how much their little one seems to enjoy the class 🤩 .
