Thousands of children around the world are born with hearing and balance problems due to Usher Syndrome Type 1B. They will also lose their sight during their childhood years due to the degeneration of the retina caused by Retinitis Pigmentosa.

It tells us what type of cell it is, exactly where it is, and can also indicate how a cell may interact with neighboring structures to the sides, above or below. 🔬 Imaging performed with spinning disk microscopy.
