It is with great pleasure to inform that YHLO has successfully obtained the In Vitro Diagnostic Regulation (IVDR) Conformité Européene (CE) certification for 137 of our reagents. The IVDR CE certification is considered to be the most significant certification for In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) enterprises as it provides the best proof of product quality. The achievement of this certification by YHLO serves as a testament to its commitment to ensuring product quality and adhering to the highest standards of regulatory compliance.

In November 2023, a novel detection method was introduced by the research team at YHLO, under the leadership of Dr. Wang Yuning. The method utilizes a combination of recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) and CRISPR-Cas12a to identify three respiratory pathogens that induce flu-like symptoms, including SARS-CoV-2, influenza A, and influenza B. The research achievement, titled "Development of a rapid, sensitive detection method for SARS-CoV-2 and influenza virus based on recombinase polymerase amplification combined with CRISPR-Cas12a assay," has been published in the "Journal of Medical Virology." This highly effective approach represents a significant contribution to the field of medical research and has the potential to play a vital role in the fight against respiratory diseases.

So far, all YHLO CLIA platform products have successfully transitioned from IVDD CE to IVDR CE. The certificate now covers a total of 137 products, 65 of which have been newly added this time.

The visit of BSI's core management indicates their recognition of YHLO's efforts. YHLO and BSI plan on deepening their cooperation and exchanges in areas such as new product certification and standard settings.

On September 15, 2023, Nobel Prize laureate Professor Arieh Warshel visited YHLO, accompanied by the leadership team from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen). During the visit, discussions and exchanges took place on project research and development collaboration, university-industry cooperation, and other relevant topics. Professor Warshel expressed his anticipation for future collaborative opportunities and the potential for fruitful cooperation to emerge from these interactions.

Professor Arieh Warshel is a Nobel laureate in chemistry, a member of the National Academy of Sciences in the United States, an honorary fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry in the United Kingdom, and holds the position of Chair Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Southern California. Currently, he serves as the Director of the Warshel Institute for Computational Biology at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen).
