- 870 Questionnaires: From teachers on skills and aspirations.

- 20 Interviews: With students, school heads, and educators.

- Focus Groups: Conducted in each country.

🗣 Key Findings

- Teachers need better tools and training for multicultural classrooms.

- Challenges include language barriers and diverse student needs.

- Importance of inclusion and support for both teachers and students.

🤔 Are you a teacher searching for new and effective ways to engage your students in the educational process?

👉 Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) helps students develop crucial skills like self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. These skills are essential for personal success and fostering a tolerant society. Integrating SEL into daily lessons helps create a supportive learning environment.

✨ The CLOSE Project suggests the use of to integrate SEL processes, helping students and teachers develop social, emotional, and life skills. Films offer an engaging way to illustrate and practice these skills.

✍️ Some teacher-friendly tips for using films in a SEL-way:

1️⃣ Set Expectations: Explain to students that films are used for learning. This helps them focus on educational objectives.

2️⃣ Discuss and Reflect: Ask questions about the film to encourage discussion. Use simple prompts to guide their thoughts.

3️⃣ Peer Modeling: Let students model behaviors for each other, fostering skills like eye contact and turn-taking.

4️⃣ Pause and Analyze: Pause films to discuss characters' body language and expressions. This helps students understand nonverbal communication.

5️⃣ Student Choices: Let students suggest films. This increases engagement and makes them think critically about social themes.
