The Robolab Programming School in collaboration with GDCy invites kids aged 14-17, as well as younger ones aged 10-13, to the Summer School of Game Development. 🟣

Unlike a typical summer camp, where kids are offered various activities to keep everyone entertained, in our Summer School we invite only those kids who are truly passionate about the idea of creating video games, those who want to delve deep into the subject and understand all the details.

Over 2 weeks, kids will learn to:

🔘Create game scenarios and create game logic and mechanics,
🔘Work as level designers and character artists,
🔘Try themselves as testers,
🔘Learn how to present their projects.

The classes will be conducted by teachers from the Robolab school. Graduates of the school who are currently studying at universities in game development-related faculties will assist the kids with their projects.

Every week, industry experts will visit the kids to conduct masterclasses, share their experience, and life hacks.

The school will be working from 14:00 to 19:00 from Monday to Friday so that teenagers won't have to wake up in the early morning.

There will be 2 sessions for different age groups:

🔘June 24 — July 5: Game development using Unity engine for kids aged 12-17.
🔘July 8 — July 19: Game development on Roblox for kids aged 10-13.

Choose Hellth is an electrifying electronic music act that blends techno with a psychedelic pop vibe. The performance is a feast for the senses, featuring a dynamic video component with live-recorded puppets and intense real-time processing for a wild and fun visual and audio experience.

Adding to the magic, Raphael Colantonio from Weird Wolves will join on bass guitar, bringing a unique and cool live element to the performance.

We’re thrilled to wrap up our lineup reveal with two very special guests for GDCy FEST 2024.

First up, we have the incredible Grim Black Shadows! 🎵

Born out of the COVID lockdown, Grim Black Shadows began as a fun project among experienced musicians. What started as a casual collaboration quickly evolved into a powerful pop-up band. Now, after a couple of years in soft launch, Grim Black Shadows is ready to storm Cyprus with their mix of industrial rock, grunge, and synth-pop. Get ready for a set that’s both heavy and irresistibly danceable.

Aside from all that flavour, the band’s frontman Peter Salnikov, who you may know as the co-founder of Disgusting Men project and co-host for The House of The Dev podcast with Raphael Colantonio, founded Book Burner Games studio recently. His team is working on an RPG about… an outlaw band on tour though a dystopian world where music is prohibited.

Formed in Paphos, Cyprus, in the fall of 2022, Sema Ne Romon is a band fueled by the creative synergy of Russian expats, many of whom work in the IT industry, including the game studio Zillion Whales.
