And our fav places posts continue. This week, as promissed, the St. Vitus cathedral at the Prague castle.
It is the largest and the most important temple in Prague. Apart from religious services, coronations of Czech kings and queens also took place here. The cathedral is a place of burial of several patron saints, sovereigns, noblemen and archbishops.

Introducing the places we love the most and that are all reached via foot. This is a start to a ongoing series, whereby every wednesday we will introduce what in Prague we want you, our guests, to see and to do.
This is the Charles Bridge and the Prague Castle.
Prague Castle began as a wooden fortress with earthen bulwarks in the 9th century; by the 11th century, it included a royal palace and the 14th century saw the beginning of St. Vitus Cathedral (we will do a post on this one next week:). The Charles bridge connects Old Town and Lesser Town over the River Vltava. The bridge is +600 year-old and is our most iconic landmark. King Charles IV commissioned the bridge in 1357, replacing the Judith Bridge which was destroyed by a flood in 1342.
