As part of the I AM HERE TOO project (Project No: 2023-1-MT01-KA210-SCH-000157809), participants and students with special needs visited Dream of Horses Farm. Here, they had the opportunity to interact with and feed the animals. Each student was assigned a role such as caring for the horses or interacting with other animals under the guidance of the farm owner, who explained the benefits of these activities. This hands-on experience directly connects to the science lessons on animals and the food chain; how students with special needs are actively involved in their learning. I AM HERE TOO: Preparing a Maltese Ftira – A Hands-on Learning Experience

As part of the I AM HERE TOO project (Project No: 2023-1-MT01-KA210-SCH-000157809), students will engage in a practical and interactive activity by going shopping at a local supermarket. This allows them to create an environment where they can interact with various people, assume the role of a customer, and work through real-life problems in daily scenarios. The activity emphasizes active, student-centered learning, promoting social interaction, the development of communication skills, and peer collaboration.

After this immersive shopping experience, participants will take part in a Cultural Tour of the Victorian Old Town, deepening their cultural awareness and understanding.

The activity will culminate in a hands-on cooking session, where students will prepare their own Ftira—a traditional Maltese snack. This exercise aims to foster social adaptation skills and contribute to both academic success and personal growth for inclusive students.

As part of the Erasmus+ project “I AM HERE TOO” (Project No: 2023-1-MT01-KA210-SCH-000157809), the second Learning/Teaching/Training Event (LTTA) continues to be successfully delivered in Gozo, Malta. Project partners from Malta, Italy, Turkey and Germany came together to promote inclusive education practices for students with diverse needs.

The sessions focused on cognitive, physical and socio-economic diversity in education and promoted a mixed-ability classroom that fosters inclusivity, collaboration and differentiated learning. While addressing the advantages and challenges of mixed-ability environments, the training also highlighted the importance of embracing diversity in all its forms: cognitive, multicultural, gender and beyond.

As part of the “I AM HERE TOO” project (2023-1-MT01-KA210-SCH-000157809), the project partners are committed to upholding the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, specifically Articles 2, 3, and 12. These articles emphasize non-discrimination, prioritizing the best interests of the child, and respecting children’s voices. The Learning/Teaching/Training Activities (LTTA) focus on practical, real-world skills, ensuring that students of all abilities are fully equipped to handle everyday challenges with confidence.

2. LTTA in Gozo / Maita

As part of the “I AM HERE TOO” project (2023-1-MT01-KA210-SCH-000157809), focused on teaching essential life skills through first aid training, project partners gathered in Gozo, Malta for an engaging and practical workshop tailored for students with special needs. In this hands-on session, students actively participated in learning vital first aid techniques, such as how to respond in emergencies and effectively contact emergency services. This workshop, which forms a key part of the Learning/Teaching/Training Activities (LTTA), aims to integrate real-world, life-saving skills into the educational environment, empowering students to be better prepared for everyday challenges.

Wrapping up an inspiring and successful meeting with a memorable closing ceremony! 🎉📜 After days of collaboration, exploration, and learning, it was an honor to present certificates to our dedicated participants from Greece, Turkey, Latvia, and Germany. Each of you brought unique perspectives and contributions, making this experience truly enriching.
