One year at Beyond Beer 🩵🥳🍺

My first anniversary is already here and it's really crazy how fast time goes by.

But when time goes by so fast it also means you're enjoying the things you're doing and that's exactly what I've been doing for the past year in this amazing Taproom.
I have met a lot of great people including brewers, founders, sales managers, a lot of nice customers and in one year more than 1150 beers tasted and rated. 😁🍻

A big thank you to my bosses and colleagues who put a lot of trust in me from the very first moment and, of course, to the fantastic Beyond Beer community! You're amazing!

Pasta & Beer • Food Pairing 🍝🍻🔥

Orecchiette pomodoro e basilico paired with the amazing "Blanche de Bruges" from 🇧🇪 .

A typical kind of pasta from my region seasoned with fresh and simple ingredients that shows us a perfect Foodpairing for these hot days! 😍🥵🍻

Blanche de Bruges

• Blanche / Witbier • 5% ABV - 15 IBU

BEER : Bouquet of citrusy, orange zest, spicy, refreshing and truly summery aroma in the nose. The entry on the mouth is crispy, light and balanced, citrusy and hoppy taste as protagonists followed by the mouth-cleansing spiciness. Bitter finish with refreshing dry aftertaste.
A truly summery Belgian beer! 😍🇧🇪🍻

FOODPAIRING : the crispy body of the beer makes the sour and sweet tones of the tomatoes rounder while the citrusy flavours become more pronounced and give a nice refreshing feeling to the palate.
The finish becomes slightly sweeter, showing the sour and the sweetness from the tomatoes but when the beer enters in contact with basil, the balance is back really fast and gives the aftertaste a quite elegant ending.
Really interesting and perfect for 30 degrees. 🥵🍻

In my glass, "Lillemor" • American IPA  - 7% ABV from 🇸🇪 : Bouquet of hoppy and fruity aromas in the nose followed by a malty and light caramelly body in the mouth and a fruity, hoppy, grassy taste with a long persisten bitter finish and aftertaste. 🍋🌱🔥🍺
For the "West Coast Lovers", this brewery at the moment is the best brewery in all of Europe for American IPA's. Congrats guys 👏🏻

Last weekend I finally had the big chance to visit the Basque Country during the two days spent at Festival : the independent culture of Euskadi, the beautiful city of Bilbao, the traditional and typical food, the amazing landscapes of Mondragón and of course I had a look at the craft beer culture over there! 🔥

My big pleasure was tasting some beers from Bilbao at like and had the big pleasure to meet Dani, owner of , and drink many new and fresh beers from . 😍

WEST vs EAST : IPA's Battle! 🍺🔥

Among the new additions to , this time there is the fantastic idea of 🇫🇮 to compare two beer styles belonging to the same IPA family, brewed with the same hops (Citra, Simcoe and Nelson Sauvin) but with two different roots and coming from two different cultures and places from USA.
A really interesting idea from this brewery that shows us how these two styles of IPA's are completely different. Congrats guys! 👏🏻

La percentuale alcolica evidente ma pur sempre bilanciata. Finale e retrogusto amari e luppolato come lo stile West Coast insegna! 😍🌱🍋

(EN) Bouquet of hoppy, citrusy and fruity aromas on the nose followed by a malty and slightly caramelly entry in the background followed by a fully hopped and citrusy taste. The alcohol content is evident but still balanced. Bitter and hoppy finish and aftertaste as the West Coast style teaches! 😍🌱🍋

It was a great experience explaining the world of craft beer in front of 50 people, spanning various beer styles, countries and cultures such as "Citra Helles" - Helles by Welde 🇩🇪 , "Hazy Little Thing" - New England IPA by Sierra Nevada 🇺🇸 , "Tripel Trappista" by Westmalle 🇧🇪 and "South Islay 2023" Barrel Aged Imperial Stout by Kehrwieder Kreativbrauerei 🇩🇪 .

All of this with the fantastic company of my lovely colleague . 💪🏻

(EN) Bouquet of hoppy, grassy, resiny and fruity tropical aromas on the nose followed by a full-bodied, robust and well balanced entry, where the fruity, hoppy and resiny flavour is the star on the palate. Final hoppy and bitter, prolonged aftertaste.

Bouquet mainly characterized by honey, hoppy and fruity notes on the nose. Elegant and great-drinking entry from the slightly malty undertone followed by a fruity tropical and citrusy, honeyed and hoppy taste in the end that releases the full character of this very interesting beer. Prolonged and well-balanced bitter end.

What a crazy festival this .2024 ! 😍🇩🇰🍻

About 100 breweries, more than 800 different beers in 4 sessions and during 2 days, lots of different people from all over the world and more than 130 beers tasted. 
The best beer I've had? I have absolutely no idea!
Too many were very impressive. Congratulations to the breweries! 🔥🍻

Amazing the crowd and the atmosphere around the area of the festival, where you could discover the many events organized during the week and many other breweries, beer bars and beer shops where you could enjoy great beers such as : , , and .

In my glass today, "The Hop Studio - Motueka IPA" from : hoppy, grassy, resinsy and slightly grapefruity aromas in the nose followed by a fully creamy hazy body and a fruity, resiny and hoppy taste. Really refreshing and with an amazing high drinkability. Slightly and lovely bitter in the aftertaste! A great new school English IPA.  🤤

India Pale Ale
• IPA • 6,5% ABV - 52 IBU

Bouquet of hoppy, citrusy and fruity aromas. Elegant and simple entry followed by a straightforwardly hoppy and citrusy taste with resinous and fruity undertones with an easy-drinking hazy and juicy undertone. Bitter and balanced finish. For a lover of American IPAs like me, it really is an exceptional beer even if it is too 'creamy'.

K2 IPA
• American IPA • 7% ABV - 73 IBU

Fantastic bouquet of fruity aromas on the nose with hop nuances. Creamy and sweet entry that emphasises the fruity and sweetish taste in the background of this beer. The hop nuances always remain in the background and here again we find a great, easy-drinking beer. The finish is sweet and elegant.
I would not say this is an American IPA: too sweet in the finish and the 73 IBU are covered by the creaminess of the beer that does not emphasise the hop notes. It has many more characteristics of the New England style.

"Oh oh we want a Riot" sang the UK SUBS in 1997, shouting to the world the needs of revolt.

Just as Prison City Pub & Brewery 🇺🇸 , American brewery newcomer at Beyond Beer , did with its "Mass Riot" beer, awarded as one of the best Hazy IPAs as well as the beer that started it all.
Tonight a fantastic confrontation between the regular and Dry Hopped versions where the Citra + Mosaic + Simcoe hops give absolute pleasure to the palate!

(EN) Fruity, hoppy, grassy aromas slightly citrusy on the nose. Medium crispy mouthfeel followed by a sweety undertone where the hoppiness explodes directly into its resinous, grassy and fruity flavours ending with a balanced sweet and bitter end where the hoppiness is persistent in the aftertaste.

• New England IPA • 6,8% ABV

(IT) Aromi più chiari e decisi al naso rispetto alla versione normale, dove il dry hopping ci regala note decisamente più intense tra quelle agrumate e quelle fruttate. Entrata leggermente frizzante, rotonda, dolce e maltata in sottofondo seguita da un gusto agrumato, di frutta tropicale e luppolato. Finale dolce dal retrogusto bilanciato e piacevole.

(EN) Clearer aromas in the nose than in the normal version, where dry hopping gives us decidedly more intense citrusy and fruity notes. Slightly crispy, round, sweety and malty entry in the background followed by a citrus, tropical fruit and hoppy taste. Sweet end with a balanced and pleasant aftertaste.

When "London calling", it's always a pleasure to taste the beers of "The City", especially if we're talking about one of my favourite British breweries ever : The Kernel Brewery 🇬🇧 .
A whole week of tasting the 7 bottled beers I got, Tap Takeover with 3 beers on tap and Beer Tasting at home comparing two of the oldest traditional beer styles of London.

EXPORT INDIA PORTER
• Porter • 6,5% ABV

Bouquet of roasted, coffee, cacao and dark bready flavours. Soft, elegant and balanced entry where the malts immediately fill the mouth with roasted, coffee and cocoa notes followed by hoppy and slightly fruity ones, where the bitterness remains constant until the end of the drink. A Porter that is, to say the least, exceptional and respectable.

IMPERIAL BROWN STOUT LONDON 1856
• Russian Imperial Stout • 10.1% ABV

Bouquet of malty, roasted aromas where the cocoa and chocolate notes are more evident than the coffee notes of the Porter.
Malty, sweet entry on the palate which brings out the chocolate and cocoa notes but also those of dried fruit followed by a background hopping which is always present, elegant and soft. Sweety end, bitter and hoppy aftertaste that shows the perfect balance of this beer.

Explosive bouquet of hoppy, resinous and tropical fruit aromas on the nose like maracuja and passion fruit.
Surprisingly elegant mouthfeel and not at all edgy, the high alcohol content is perfectly hidden by a fully fruity and hoppy palate followed by resinous notes and a slightly sweet but refreshing background. The end is hoppy followed by a slightly bitter aftertaste. A truly surprising beer, balanced and very tasty despite its 10% ABV. Always fantastic tasting the beers of  . 🔥

When I saw that Stigbergets Bryggeri was going to release the Triple Haze, I was crazy excited to try it. The original Amazing Haze is a favorite. Triple Haze didn't have as hazy and hop juicy look as I expected. And you know what, I like it! Wonderful tropical scents. The tastes I perceive as a hybrid between NEIPA and West Coast IPA. Tropical flavors mix with a low sweetness and a higher bitterness. Okay, you feel it's a bit high in ABV but it's still incredibly well hidden. Thank you Stigbergets Bryggeri for an incredibly good TIPA🙏My glass is a Rastal Craft Master One from ArtGlassVista 🤙
