We’re thrilled to share that our Continental tire plant in Otrokovice, Czech Republic, has recently produced its 500 millionth tire! 🎉A big milestone for our biggest tire plant in Europe!

This achievement highlights the dedication of our team of over 4,700 people there. The 500,000,000th tire was a SportContact 7 – an outstanding tire engineered for highest performance and sporty driving.

To celebrate, this special tire was proudly displayed at the entrance of the administrative building, signed by the employees who made it. 🖋️ A fitting tribute to their hard work and passion!

Libor Láznička, our General Manager in Otrokovice, sums it up nicely: "Our success is built on the hard work of every single employee, past and present." We couldn’t agree more! 👏

Congratulations to the entire team for reaching this incredible milestone, and here’s to many more!

At the fair was one of the focus topics. We were glad to present and discuss our many different advances in this field.

In a panel discussion, Jorge Almeida, our Head of Sustainability Tires, had the opportunity to discuss how sustainability will change tomorrow with several experts from the automotive industry. Jorge emphasized that it is important for Continental to consider sustainability from the early design of the product to the end of use, throughout the entire value chain. 💚 Safety, performance and sustainability must go hand in hand.

In the afternoon, Jorge presented how we at Continental Tires work every day to improve energy- and resource efficiency across our entire value chain. In our Lousado, Portugal tire plant where we produce our most sustainable tire UltraContact NXT we are already demonstrating that very large tire plants can achieve CO2-neutral production.
🗨️ “Buying energy certificates can have a positive effect in the short term. In the long term, however, we must continue reducing the energy intensity of our operations and increasing renewable energy production to further reduce our CO2 emissions.”

🤫By the way, at Automechanika, visitors could experience our UltraContact NXT at our booth and test it virtually with our VR goggles.

The digital wing mirror replacement is much more than just a mirror!

Our ProViu Mirror System is a unique off-the-shelf modular system of high-definition cameras and displays in the driver’s cabin. It improves overall visibility across various conditions, while also enhancing the drivers’ workspace with the possibility to integrate additional ADAS functions.

This week our tire plant in Hefei, China, celebrated a major milestone: producing 100 million passenger tires. 🏆 We marked the occasion with a series of events across all shifts, featuring team video awards, a Q&A session, and fun games. Definitely a highlight: A vibrant dance show by our Conti Hefei plant's dancing club.
Our employees captured the great moment with photos of the 100 millionth tire, a symbol of our success. 🧡 These events sparked a wave of pride and appreciation across our entire team! 🤝

Once upon a time, there was a toy that encouraged children all over the world to listen and play, inspiring their fantasy - and its cover was made from 80% bio-based raw materials. 🌿🤭

The Toniebox is the modern version of children's audiobooks. Instead of inserting cassettes or CDs as we did back then, kids can now simply place a character on the box to hear a story.
