Seing Dita von Teese's reel about her show "Glamonatrix" and having had a little conversation with one of the girls I worked with made me think back of my Burlesque time. I had never imagined I would have done anything like that, even though I was kind of curious about it since when I discovered Dita (I was around 20). Dancing, singing, choreographing and helping creating costumes for that production was not only a lot of fun but also really pushed me out of my confort zone, sometimes with me not really being aware of what I was doing on stage and ending up thinking "How the hell did that come to my mind? How did I end up doing that?". I didn't have a rational answer except that I felt free and connected to "that" something inside myself in a completely different way from what I had experienced before. Now I know what and why and how, now I have the answers, surely not ALL the answers but definitely a greater self-awareness. I wonder what it would feel like doing Burlesque now, after all these years, after all this personal growth 🤔 Also teaching Burlesque workshops was something I found out to love, how would it feel now?

16.11.2019: when being on stage was not yet a crime. I so miss the stage, the energy, the adrenaline, the fun, the audience. Actually, I miss myself because when I am on stage I am the most honest, true and free version of myself... the real one we all have under all the conditioning that we learn. Those moments are so precious, they mean everything to me! 💃❤️ Hopefully we can shine again soon! 💘 💋 ✨

Dear followers of Bachata Hamburg,

my name is Simona and I am writing this post to announce some upcoming news. I am a professional dancer, dance teacher and choreographer and I have been very kindly invited to take part to the content creation for this page.
Dance is my life, literally. Not one day passes for me without dancing/watching, listening, reading or reflecting about dancing. I feel extremely lucky to have had the chance to study and work together with extraordinary professionals who have been part of world-renowned companies and artists that have left a mark in the history, as well as in many different projects where I had to dance different styles, from Jazz to Contemporary, Modern, Burlesque... I also have been playing the piano and studying music for 6 years, experience that has naturally helped me to understand music better when it came the time to study it related and connected to dancing.

I am here to share what I could learn (and still keep learning!) throughout my experience, in order to support you in your dance journey and so that you can further and more deeply enjoy it.
