Meat alternatives have mostly been considered the solution to our heavy meat consumption. But, it might not be the only one. Meat Tomorrow are working on a scalable meat cultivation technology, and we are so excited to become part of their journey!
CEO, David Valbjørn and CSO, Matias Ankjær, have been working on the solution since 2020 and they have already made remarkable progress, so we can’t wait to see where they take it 🔥

We have been visited some of our portfolio companies, to gain some better insight to how they are doing. They usually say everything is fantastic, but can we believe that? 😳
The first company we're uncovering is myKin.ai with co-founder Kasper Juul welcoming "Becca", the new employee, to the company. Kin have allegedly created a personalised AI, that you can speak to and share your innermost thoughts with. Someone who will always be on your side and who knows who you are.
Sounds brilliant, right?

The team has been working tirelessly and expanding progressively, since Mads Terndrup got the idea to replace traditional plaster casts with their adaptive meta-materials. They are now getting close to their goal, and expect to perform clinical tests later this year, with the hope of getting their CE mark by the end of the year.
The Innobooster grant of DKK2,1M will assist them in the last stages and allow them to reach the finishline.
Traditional plaster casts, while reliable, have a significant drawback: A freshly broken limb swells up, and this is when the plaster cast is applied. But, as part of the healing process, the swelling also goes down again. When that happens and the static cast doesn’t follow the limb, it is no longer stabile inside the cast. This instability can lead to re-injury and surgery in 1 out of 3 wrist fracture cases.
The Exo360 Wrist addresses this issue by holding the limb securely in the correct position while applying even pressure, while swelling decreases.

Peter Torstensen spent a very productive hour with the team, discussing, amongst other things, the approach to their Beachhead.

LexSee are democratising reading for people with dyslexia 👏 and we have invested in them!
When we read a word, or a collection of words, our brain visually analyses the text and relates this visual input to how they would sound. And it is not until after this that meanings and associations are formed from those sounds, and it is that process that is extremely challenging to dyslexic people. It has nothing to do with intelligence!
The consequences of their challenge reaches far beyond their reading capabilities, and actually impacts their earning potential.
Lexsee are now making help much more accessible, by providing an app that makes web pages easier to read, and gives a way to multi-input reading environment.
"Dyslexia affects 1 in 5 people around the world, so it's an enormous number of people who need assistance, but often don't receive adequate help, if any" - Mads Løntoft, venture partner at Accelerace.

🇧🇬 Last week we travelled to Sofia, Bulgaria, as partners on BEYOND | Cross-border investment to assist some great reach their goals.
We learned that in Bulgaria you say "zele" (cabbage) when you take a picture 📸 but we also confirmed that there are incredible startups around Europe who can benefit from help in the pre-seed stage.
We had the immense pleasure of working with Pocket IP Travatar.ai Cars Central by Avtoikonom LTD SUBmerge Baltic Salesforge 🔥 Agenta Vodar by Mindset Design PERMITS to Fly AIDE and Razzle through the two days!
Through our proprietary courses, and deep dives with co-mentors Michał Olszewski Jesus Tapia Angel H. Angelov, CF Peder Nedergaard Krasimir Kehayov Yavor Gochev, we learned a lot, and hopefully helped a lot.
We're super excited to have partnered with FundingBox ISDI Accelerator and Innovation Capital who put on a fantastic Demo-day to round off the camp.

What a tournament! 🎾 More than 3 hours of fun, padel, drinks and talks 😍

Martin Decara, Jakob Einfeldt and Charlotte Vinther Schmidt, the team behind Umamamia, have developed their clean label product, Umamifix, using fermentation technology to enhance the natural umami flavour in pulses.
We believe that Umamamia have identified one of the main reasons the switch to plant based meat alternatives haven’t been as prevalent as we would all like.
