Part of our current exhibition Absorption by the artist Tayseer Hamed,

Tayseer Hamed was born in Cairo in 1955 and graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts in 1978. He participated in many group and solo exhibitions in and out of Egypt. Hamed's works are unique in construction. They are coherent and interconnected architectures that the artist reproduces in a dramatic, inventive, and expressive fashion. The artist employs passion and thought; establishing beauty and unconventional perception through Egyptian folklore paintings. The paintings that use different motifs and symbols, influenced by engraving on stone and caves, demonstrate the intellectual and aesthetic approach of ancient humans.

الأعمال الفنية جزء من المعرض الحالي "استغراق" للفنان تيسير حامد

ولد تيسير حامد فالقاهرة عام 1955، وتخرج من كلية الفنون التطبيقية عام 1978. شارك الفنان في العديد من المعارض الجماعية والفردية داخل مصر وخارجها تعتبر أعمال تيسير حامد فريدة من نوعها في الترميز البنائي كما لو كانت هياكل معمارية متماسكة ومترابطة، فيقوم بإعادة إنتاج المفردات التشكيلية في بعضها البعض بطريقة درامية. انها حالة من الشغف والفكر أضاف من خلالها للجمال مفاهيم غير تقليدية في تكوينات الاعمال واللوحات، نرى بوضوح الطرح الفكري والجمالي معا في صناعة لوحات يستخدم فيها موتيفات ورموز مختلفة متأثرا بالنقش على الحجر والكهوف كما كان يفعل الانسان القديم.

Absorption is a state in which the artist can transform an abstract idea into a visible existence. It is a mystical state in which the artist utilizes their emotions, feelings, and intuition. It is a daydream in which the artist can merge with their essence while in constant conflict.
Absorption is the discovery of spiritual and emotional beauty concealed within the folds of symbols, especially those of a cultural heritage.
Absorption is the ability to replicate themes and artistic languages that contain uniqueness and distinctiveness. The visible and the invisible rhythms alternate, shrouded in flashes of mystery with a mythical sense.

استغراق هو حالة استطاع الفنان من خلالها تصوير مجرد فكرة الى وجود مرئي، فهي حالة صوفية لما يمتلك الفنان من احاسيس ومشاعر وحدس، هي حلم يقظة كلما استطاع الفنان الامتزاج بجوهره وداخله وهو في صراع دائم، استغراق هو اكتشاف للجمال الروحي والوجداني المدفون بين ثنايا الرموز خاصة التراثية منها، فاستغراق هو امكانية استنساخ تيمات ولغات تشكيلية بها من التميز والتفرد، فيتناوب الايقاع المرئي واللامرئي مغلفا بومضات الغموض ذات حس أسطوري

Mostafa Abdel Fattah (1942-2013)
Abdel Fattah was a painter and scholar from Giza, Egypt. He studied at the College of Applied Arts and obtained his Ph.D. in 1992. His artistic vision was influenced by the Coptic tradition, the nocturnal realm, the Bedouin culture, and his rural roots. He expressed his admiration for the interconnectedness of humanity, animals, and birds in his paintings, using light and dark elements to create contrast and harmony.

Abdel Fattah’s artworks are part of the “Timeless Art” Exhibition, featuring renowned artists Saleh Taher, Farouk Wagdy, and Mostafa Abdel Fattah. The exhibition will run for 3 weeks, from 11am to 8pm daily (except Fridays).

مصطفى عبد الفتاح (1942-2013)
رسام وباحث من الجيزة، مصر. درس في كلية الفنون التطبيقية وحصل على الدكتوراه. في عام 1992. تأثرت رؤيته الفنية بالتقاليد القبطية، والحياة الليلية، والثقافة البدوية، وجذوره الريفية. وأعرب عن إعجابه بالترابط بين الإنسانية والحيوانات والطيور في لوحاته، حيث استخدم العناصر الفاتحة والداكنة لخلق التباين والانسجام.

تعد أعمال مصطفى عبد الفتاح الفنية جزءًا من معرض “الفن الخالد” الذي يشارك فيه الفنانون المشهورون صالح طاهر وفاروق وجدي ومصطفى عبد الفتاح. ويستمر المعرض لمدة 3 أسابيع، من الساعة 11 صباحًا حتى 8 مساءً يوميًا (ما عدا الجمعة).

Farouk Wagdy (1936-2012) was an Egyptian painter who graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts in Cairo in 1960. He created a distinctive style of abstract expressionism, influenced by modern art movements such as Cubism, Expressionism, and Abstract Art. His artworks used vivid colors, geometric shapes, and energetic strokes to express identity, culture, history, and spirituality themes. Wagdy’s paintings were admired and collected in Egypt and abroad, and he also taught as a secondary-level educator. He exhibited his works in prestigious galleries and museums. Wagdy passed away in 2012, at the age of 76, leaving a legacy as one of his generation’s most prominent contemporary Egyptian artists.

فاروق وجدي (1936-2012) فنان مصري تخرج في كلية الفنون التطبيقية بالقاهرة عام 1960. ابتكر أسلوبًا مميزًا في التعبير التجريدي، متأثرًا بالحركات الفنية الحديثة مثل التكعيبية والتعبيرية والفن التجريدي. استخدمت أعماله الفنية الألوان الزاهية والأشكال الهندسية للتعبير عن الهوية والثقافة والتاريخ والمواضيع الروحانية. وقد نالت لوحات وجدي الإعجاب وجمعها في مصر وخارجها، كما قام بالتدريس كمعلم في المرحلة الثانوية. عرض أعماله في المعارض والمتاحف المرموقة. توفي وجدي عام 2012 عن عمر يناهز 76 عامًا، تاركًا إرثًا كواحد من أبرز الفنانين المصريين المعاصرين في جيله.

وجدي رسام مصري مشهور، تخرج في كلية الفنون التطبيقية بالقاهرة عام 1960. ابتكر أسلوبًا مميزًا للتعبير التجريدي، متأثرًا بالحركات الفنية الحديثة مثل التكعيبية والتعبيرية والفن التجريدي. استخدمت أعماله الفنية الألوان الزاهية والأشكال الهندسية للتعبير عن موضوعات الهوية.
وقد نالت لوحاته الإعجاب وجمعها في مصر وخارجها، كما قام بالتدريس كمعلم في المرحلة الثانوية. عرض أعماله في صالات العرض والمتاحف المرموقة.
