Dear Parents

We are writing to let you know that the school is proud to announce that the “SMART International School: Together Saving Lives Carnival” will be taking place this Saturday the 13th of April on school grounds.

The event will start at 11am and end at 6pm. Entrance is free but all games and food inside will be paid for by Smart Money. Smart Money can be purchased from the Smart bank at the event. Please bring all your friends and family young and old and enjoy a day in the sun with us for a great cause.

All the proceeds from the event will be going to Sir Magdy Yacoub’s Heart Foundation in Aswan.

The event will include many games including; life sized chess, face painting, costume photo area, laser tag, paintball gun aiming, inflatable football, inflatable basketball, bungee trampoline, bungee run & more.

We are excited to have Cafe Di Roma as our food vendor for the event and they will also be catering for our cafeteria soon.

There will be a talent show performed by our exceptionally talented children and a tombola with amazing prizes!

We are proud to announce that our diamond sponsor for the event is Bank Audi, who will be giving out exciting giveaways to our children.
Our gold sponsor is Sigma and our media sponsor is Cairo West. They will both have booths and the latter will cover the event in their next issue.

There will be a nursery area provided that our nannies will be in charge of, where you can drop off your children for a small fee that will also be added to the donations.

Please make sure to wear sunscreen and hats.

Dear Parents,
We have finally reached the end of the term and we would like to thank the students, parents and teachers for all their hard work!

Tomorrow is the final day of the term this is just to let you know that children can come to school out of uniform, they do not need to bring any work with them to school.

Tomorrow will be a fun day where the children will participate in fun activities as well as a picnic with members of their class.

FS1 Arts!

Dear Parents,

Tomorrow is the Key Stage 1 and 2 sports day. Come and join us for a day of fun in the sun! make sure you are in sports clothes and bring a cap or hat as well as sun screen.

There will be a barbeque served by O' Cafe afterwards where you can buy burgers, hot dogs, juices and soft drinks. So make sure to bring about 30 pounds with you to school to join the fun. 10% of the profits from the food will go towards the Magdy Yacoub Heart Foundation.

There will be a surprise performance by some of the children for the parents who do show up for sports day. So be there!

A little something about Sir Magdy Yacoub, a man we are proud to be supporting at this year's carnival.

Dear Talented Parents and Students,
I hope you are all prepared! Because this wednesday the 20th of March during second break at the school auditorium the auditions are taking place. If you are a great singer, dancer, actor, juggler, comedian, speachmaker etc, make sure you sign up before Wednesday.
The parents who will be participating with the children do not have to come to the auditions but have to be available on the carnival day which is so far set to take place on Saturday the 13th of April.

Dear Parents:
This is to let you know that so far Smart International School has raised approximately 25000 Egyptian Pounds from its Fundraising weeks. This week is the last week of fundraising so make sure to participate with as much as you can. We want to thank you for your incredible support so far and for your donations. You will truly make a huge difference to many lives. Thank you to our students, and staff too for the outstanding effort they have put into the organisation of these past events. We look forward to celebrate all this with you at the school carnival which will be announced soon.

SMART 'Zero Tolerance' uniform policy

Dear Parents,

The aim of the Smart International School uniform code is for pupils to present a neat appearance, while feeling comfortable in what they wear.

We expect our teachers to be fully focused on teaching and guiding our students, but currently a lot of time is spent dealing with uniform infringements instead. For this reason we are aiming for a 'Zero Tolerance' uniform policy which will allow both staff and students to be more fully engaged with the business of teaching and learning.

With effect from Sunday 3rd March 2013, regular uniform inspections will be conducted for all year groups. Any uniform infringements will be entered on the expectations cards. Repeated infringements may result in after school detentions and/or exclusion from class.

Parents who send their children to Smart International School accept the responsibility to support our uniform policy. Parents are expected to ensure that the uniform is of those items offered by school or of the approved Mobaco items only. All items should be clean, unfaded, of the correct size and in a good state of repair. Shoes and socks should be plain black or white. Outside of school, our students are our ambassadors and as such parents are expected to ensure that they represent the school with high standards in both appearance and behavior.

Dear Parents,
This is to let you know that there are some limited spaces still available for the "Are You Smarter Than Your Children?" competition this Wednesday. All you have to do is send 20 pounds back with the letter to participate or 10 pounds if you are only interested in watching.
And don't worry we will try to go easy on you with the questions!

Smart International School-Egypt Talent Show Auditions;

Here is a great idea from a Kindergarten in Hong Kong for any parents who are interested in participating with their children!

Best Parent Child Performance 2011 There must be alot of hard work behind this but who says it could not also be fun. Ida sets great example for RMKG parents to follow suit. BRAVOS!!

Have You Got Talent?

Do you have the voice to move mountains? The agility of a cat? The strength of a lion? A great sense of humour?

Smart International School STUDENTS and PARENTS (Yes we want parents too!) be prepared because WE WANT YOU!

If you are a talented singer, dancer, comedian, musician, juggler, gymnast, actor etc. then prepare a 3 minute showcase of your talent and if you are a winner than you will get to perform your talent in front of hundreds of guests at this year's "Smart International School: Together Saving Lives Carnival."

If you are interested in signing up for the auditions please come by the student affairs office and sign up.
Parents are welcome to participate with their children. Also if you are part of a band, a group, or require outside support from friends or families members feel free to bring them along.
This audition is open for all ages and all talents. Looking forward to seeing how creative you can be!

The audition date has not been set but we will notify of it as soon as possible. Make sure to sign up starting this Sunday the 24th of February to guarantee your place!
