Savasana is the great balancer in terms of our nervous system: while much of asana practice is designed to up-regulate the body, stimulate, and even provide healthy stress, Savasana is the down-regulator. It shifts away from the sympathetic nervous system to the parasympathetic side, and we experience a calming, sweet release. Over time, Savasana teaches us how, and that we can, move from anxiety and hyper-stimulation to this state of down-regulation where digestion, the immune system, and other essential systems are restored and enhanced. Savasana is an essential pose, and one you should never skip ✨

Movement is unique to all of us and so is progression. At the studio I try to cater for each individuals needs but with a goal of progression.
Progression is seeing what your body can do and building a deeper understanding of your body’s potential. That means training at a level that’s comfortable but challenging for you, so your experience of noticing your balance is a little steadier than last week, your stretch a bit deeper or your strength a little stronger.
To help you reach your individual goals I will always offer modifications, variations and movements to suit your level to make sure you can find your comfortable, personal edge.

What did you allow into your mind today? Do you realise that everything you intentionally and everything you allow unintentionally will set your course in life? Here at The Studio I offer one on one sessions. This gives you the opportunity to experience a class designed to your body, your abilities and your goal. Maybe your a beginner and want to learn correct postures without getting intimidated or feeling nervous by group setting.
Private yoga sessions are great when 👇🏽
* You want to deepen your practice and work towards specific goals (e.g. balance, stamina, inversions)
* Working on specific issues ( tight heaps, ham string, back bands)
* You have health issues ( arthritis, depression, insomnia) or injuries ( knee, shoulder, back)

Staying healthy physically can help you stay healthy emotionally too. If you're eating the right food and keeping fit, your body will be strong and help you to cope with stress and also fight illness. Eating well and exercising often will also help you stay in good health later in life. Eat your fruit, move your body, unplug yourself 🖤
