The evening of San Juan is one of the shortest nights of the year, and people come together around a bonfire to celebrate the beginning of summer and guard off the evil spirits.

Torrevieja celebrará este domingo, 23 de junio, la noche de hogueras de San Juan en sus playas

En total serán cuatro las playas en las que se podrá celebrar esta tradición tan levantina (La Mata, Los Locos, El Cura y Los Náufragos)

Los puntos de reparto de leña serán: en la playa de Los Náufragos a la entrada del muelle de Poniente; en la playa de Los Locos (zona centro) ; en la playa del Cura (zona norte), y en la playa de La Mata habrán tres puntos de reparto: en la Avenida del Agua (junto a la estación de bombeo), en la Avenida de los Europeos, junto al puesto de salvamento y, en La Mata pueblo, frente a la plaza de Encarnación Puchol.

El horario para la celebración de la Noche de Hogueras en las cuatro playas torrevejenses será de 20:00 a 2:00 horas, momento en el que se invitará a los ciudadanos a finalizar la fiesta debido a que, posteriormente, tendrá que comenzar la limpieza de las playas. Para esa noche la Concejalía de Aseo Urbano contará con un refuerzo para la limpieza de las playas.
