Mixed day of sorts at Moto Gasso.
Yamaha R1 with a destroyed crank gear.
Client sourcing replacement
Yamaha YZF 250 in for a known crank (big end failure) inspection and strip down.
More of a job than expected.
It's the first time I've seen a clutch cush spring end up in the sump, totally destroyed.
Work in progress, parts to source.

Moto 5 engine in for a larger capacity cylinder and piston.
Maybe it needs a few more issues cleaning up first? 😂😂😂😂
Modified the supplied head gasket. Too much compression lost otherwise.

On going Pandora's box. 1989 (ish) XV 1100.
Recommission for a client.
Today's main effort was front brakes. Yes totally ineffective.
The pads were so corroded they had to be drifted out with a mallet.
Quite a nice job by the ultrasonic bath in taking the dust off.
Next job strip out the pistons for a good clean. Re assemble.

Re design form the CBR 600 shift rod.
Sometimes the jigsaw can throw you out. This is a better way and no potential fouling of rod and lever.
It's also a lot stronger
Slipping towards Jerez Jnr GP.
