Cylinder head skimming updated their address.

A pair of TVR heads in for some tlc. Being wedge shaped, they take a bit of time to get set up. Plenty of shims and feeler guages to get them clocked before skimming

People are often surprised by how much a solid lump of aluminium will warp when a head gasket goes.
The pics below show heads in various stages of skimming, the dull parts show the low spots on the head.
We sometimes get asked to check heads for flatness before skimming, but if you already have it stripped down and have brought it to us, the best way to check is to just skim it anyway then you know it is right!

For over 10 years we have been offering head skimming and other vehicle related engineering services to main dealers, independant garages and car enhusiasts in the local area.

As most of the world seems to be moving to Facebook now, we thought we'd create a page specific to the motor trade services we offer so you can share with all your friends!

For those garages who don't know us, we offer a collection and delivery service within 15 miles of our workshop in South Godstone.

It's not just skimming we do - milling, turning, welding, silver soldering, helecoiling etc are all services we offer.
