Our Board of Directors recently participated in a comprehensive two-day training program on Good Governance, which was skillfully organized by the Association of International Schools in Africa (AISA) and led by trainer Kristi Williams. The primary objective of this workshop was to enhance our Board members' strategic leadership capabilities, equipping them with the necessary tools to effectively deliver essential governance modules. This training session served as a valuable continuation of our school's commitment to professional development, following the attendance of our Principal and a Board delegate, Mr. Bereket Gezahegn, at a conference held in Accra, Ghana, this past August. Through these collective experiences, our Board members have gained invaluable insights and fresh perspectives, enabling them to exercise enhanced oversight over the school's leadership and chart a successful course for the future.

This week at our school, we were honored to have Dr. Binyam Tesfaw Hailu, a specialist in remote sensing and GIS, as our guest speaker. Students from grades 7 to 9 had the incredible opportunity to engage with Dr. Hailu and ask questions about remote sensing and GIS. It was a valuable session that provided a brief introduction to this fascinating field, complementing their ongoing fieldwork and GIS lessons.
In addition to that, our problem-based learning approach continued with the designing stage and modeling. Our students have been actively involved in solving real-world problems, applying their critical thinking and creativity to come up with innovative solutions. We are proud of their dedication and enthusiasm in tackling these challenges.
Lastly, we had an exhilarating football match between our students and RICE (Reach International Center for Education). It was a friendly competition that brought together young athletes from both schools, fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and friendly rivalry. The match was filled with excitement and showcased the talent and passion of our students.
