Last Friday, we celebrated a Wellness Day at the picturesque Murikanranta. Our new CEO, Alan Donze, joined us and enjoyed the beautiful summer day. The event included training sessions, group activities, and, of course, sauna and swimming.

We have been working hard on the new RemeOs™ study materials for two days. Warm Zurich provided a great setting.

Bioretec appoints Rami Ojala as Sales and Marketing Director and member of the Management Team as of 1 January 2022. He will report to Timo Lehtonen, Chief Executive Officer of Bioretec. Ojala will succeed Lauri Hokkanen, Bioretec’s current Sales and Marketing Director and member of the Management Team, who has decided to pursue new career opportunities outside the company. Hokkanen will continue in Bioretec’s employ until 31 January 2022, familiarizing his successor to the new role.

This week Bioretec was at the wonderful congress of the Hungarian Association of Paediatric Surgeons (HAPS) in Pécs. The congress featured a high-level bioabsorbable implant session with speakers like Prof. Lascombes, Prof. Weinberg, Dr. Josza, Dr. Varga and Dr. Kassai!

The event is quite exceptional; the next HAPS congress is in 2025!

We love that congresses are continuing again! This week our team is in Brno, Czech Republic! Frejk's days 2021 is rolling with Bioretec Master class and presentation by Dr. Peter Dečo, MD from Bratislava University Hospital´s Orthopedic and Traumatology Department.

Prof. Lascombes pediatric case series continues with a twelve-year-old girl's right ankle trauma treatment with bioabsorbable ActivaScrew™. The implant creates additional fracture line compression with the patented Auto-Compression™ technology. In addition, postoperative implant removal was avoided and sports activities were allowed after three months. At six months follow-up, the ankle range of motion was equivalent to the opposite left side, and X-rays showed perfect bone union and normal distal tibia and fibula growth.
