Ikkyu Japanese restaurant has celebrated our 12th anniversary on 22nd August since we opened inside Tanoa international Hotel. We would like to appreciate our customers, staffs , and many others for their support.

We have started to serve YUZU&HONEY drink. YUZU is a kind of citrus in Japan and it has soft sour and special scent. The scent makes you feel Japan.
We make it of just pure YUZU juice, honey and sugar.
You can enjoy it with not only ice and water also with soda.

So you can enjoy tuna, salmon,and snapper in this weekend. Although snapper is good taste for sashimi &sushi, we recommend tempura(fish tempura). It’s so fluffy. You should try it.

Another photo is the new menu. It’s “marinated fish”. We call it “Nanbanzuke” in Japan. It’s marinated with vinegar sauce. Let’s try.

Summer in Japan is hot and humid, but it is the season of festivals. One of the most famous festivals in July is Gion Festival "Gion Matsuri" in Kyoto. This festival was started about 1100 years ago. Many people come to see it, and it is worth seeing at least once. I like seeing the lighted floats in the streets of Kyoto at night.
Meanwhile, in Tokyo, there is "Mitama festival" at Yasukuni Shrine. There are also many lanterns lit up at night, creating a magical atmosphere.
Additionally, fireworks festivals are held here and there in the summer. I will introduce this on another occasion, but I recommend that you check it out when you go to Japan.
