Team REACH spent their first ever weekend in a village, most times, since the inception of the programme in 2015, the team either return to their homes or spend the weekend in the hotel.

We were all grateful that this time, we are accommodated in Saolo Village - so the weekend was peaceful, dip in the cold pool, more interactive sessions with the community, Sunday service and a good Sunday lunch.

Today the whole community had lunch with the team. It was a happy moment for them and so as the team.

⚠️ Late Post

The Ministry of Women ,Children and Poverty Alleviation - Fiji hosted a knowledge sharing and best practices meeting between Tonga's Womens Affairs Division and the unit.

It was a timely meeting as it granted both countries to share on the success of the programme, its impact and the approach they have taken to enhance greater participation and reach to the communities that are marginalized.

Tonga's Director for Womens Affairs Division Ms. Polotu Paunga was pleased with the development of the programme since its inception and is keen to learn more from Fiji's experience.

The Government of Fiji through the Ministry reiterated its acknowledgment towards the Governemt of Tonga for demonstrating great interest about the programme and reassures them of greater collaborations in the near future.

Through UNDP's support in 2019, Tonga and Samoa benefited from the support with the replication of the programme in their respective counties.
