PRS is a multi-cultural oceanic seminary for dioceses, religious, and lay students.
We extend our deepest condolences to Ielome Taumaloto and his family during this difficult time. The loss of a mother is a profound sorrow, and our thoughts and prayers are with you. Our seminarians and staff gathered this evening to pay their respects and offer support. May you find comfort and strength in the love surrounding you.
This afternoon, we are deeply grateful to our generous benefactors who sponsored our rugby jerseys for the upcoming inter-tertiary games. The jerseys were blessed by our interim rector, Fr. Okusitino Ulupano SM.
As we prepare for Term 3 classes, beginning next Monday, we would like to express our deepest appreciation to Fr. Okusitino Ulupano SM for his outstanding leadership as Interim Rector. His guidance has been instrumental in the successful preparation of our classrooms and learning environments.
We also extend our sincere thanks to our dedicated maintenance team and all those who contributed to this effort. Your hard work and attention to detail have ensured that our facilities are in excellent condition for the new term.
Your commitment to excellence greatly enhances the educational experience for both students and staff. We are truly grateful for your contributions and look forward to a successful Term 3. ๐๐๐
๐ Day 4 of Our Safeguarding Workshop ๐
Today, we were honored to have IP Emosi Uluilakeba from the Fiji Police Force as our guest speaker. IP Uluilakeba delivered an insightful presentation on the roles, functions, and procedures involved in safeguarding. He shared valuable experiences and knowledge about real-world scenarios, further enhancing our understanding of effective safeguarding practices.
A heartfelt thank you to IP Uluilakeba for his expertise and contribution to our workshop!
In addition, we had Mass presided over by Interim-Rector Fr. 'Okusitino 'Ulupano SM. Fr. 'Ulupano highlighted three key points from todayโs Gospel that we should always keep in mind:
1. Witness to the Truth
2. Cost of Discipleship
3. Role of Conscience
Weโre thrilled to share that our workshop concluded on a high note with a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner and social event! ๐ฆ๐
A special highlight of the evening was the Thanksgiving prayer, beautifully delivered by His Lordship Bishop Simon Mani, Bishop of Tarawa & Nauru. His words truly added a meaningful touch to our celebration.

This afternoon, the staff and students of the Pacific Regional Seminary had the honor of joining the Archdiocese of Suvaโs reguregu to the late Fr. Fred Kado SM. We gathered at the Holy Eucharist Parish in Suva to honor his memory. It was a meaningful time of reflection and solidarity as we extended our condolences and support to his family and friends. Fr. Fred Kadoโs legacy will continue to inspire and guide us.

Fred Kado SM holds a special place in our history as one of the first seminarians to join the Pacific Regional Seminary which was established here in Suva in 1972. His pioneering spirit and dedication were instrumental in shaping the early years of our seminary.
Fr. Fredโs commitment to his vocation and his compassionate presence made a profound impact on all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the values and principles he helped establish here at the Pacific Regional Seminary.

As we wrap up the 1st week of our PRS Term 2 holidays, we want to share some exciting updates and express our gratitude.
First, a heartfelt thank you to the Diocese of Tarawa for their generous donation of beautiful mats for the PRS Chapel. Your support has truly enhanced our worship space and added a special touch to our community.
We also want to extend our deepest appreciation to our dedicated maintenance team and the hardworking students of PRS who stayed back during the Term 2 school holidays. Your tireless efforts in painting the classrooms and installing new tiles have not gone unnoticed. The work is ongoing, and we are confident it will be completed before the start of the third term.
May God continue to bless you all abundantly for your commitment and service. Your contributions make a significant difference in our school community.

We enjoyed a fantastic feast featuring lovo and other delicious dishes, coupled with lively social interactions and spectacular entertainment from the Muanikoso Dance Group.
