Counterstroke Fiji, in collaboration with the CWM Hospital Acute Stroke Team (Ministry of Health & Medical Services - Fiji,) and Diabetes Fiji, with funding from the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Protection - Fiji conducted its first "Carers for Stroke Survivors" Workshop for 2024 in Suva at the Fiji Vocational and Technical Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities (FVTTCPD) at 3 Brown Street today. Fourteen (14) carers of stroke survivors from institutions such as the Fiji Corrections Service, the Golden Age Home in Samabula and the FVTTCPD, and individuals participated in the workshop and expressed their appreciation to Counterstroke Fiji and its partners, including Empower Pacific and Diabetes Fiji for a very informative day.
We take this opportunity to thank all of our supporters, including Mr Nitya Nand Lalji and Mr Ilikena, both CSF members and stroke survivors for their insights into the type of care that stroke survivors would benefit from.
