According to the latest Emerging Trends in Real Estate® Europe report by ULI and PwC, real estate experts confirm the high investment potential European real estate has to offer in 2020 and beyond.

With stable interest rates at all-time lows and negative bond yields in several European countries, real estate remains an attractive and in-demand investment class, especially when compared to other asset classes.

Our beautiful city of light, however, is the clear favorite for 2020, ranked first for overall prospects!

According to one pan-European investor, “Paris has three great, extra things going for it: the 2024 Olympic Games, Brexit – it is just two hours from London by high speed train – and the Grand Paris project.” The French capital also provides a large, liquid market with international renown. You were probably wondering how the Corona crises has infected the real estate market in Paris in general?

Well, let us give you a little update:

Although real estate sales volumes declined by 39% between March and May when compared to the same period in 2019, real estate activity in Ile-de-France quickly rebounded in the month of May. It is even 4% higher than the average activity in May over the last 10 years!

After the eight weeks of quarantine between March and May, when real estate activity in the Ile-de-France region fell by 39% for both apartments (-39%) and houses (-40%), the Paris real estate market is moving forward again. Paris notaries indicate that real estate activity in May 2020 was only 9% lower than it was in May 2019. “It is even 4% higher than the average activity for the month of May over the last 10 years,” they added.

The price per square meter in Paris has hardly been affected by the crisis, rising by a further 7.4% to an average of 10,670 euros, beating its own record once again.

Generally the prime market in Paris has emerged as a bright spot globally. Prices have risen at a time when the prime residential markets of many other world cities have stalled. Concentrated within the capital’s historic centre, prime Paris property is viewed as a safe, long-term store of wealth. To international buyers, values are still attractive by global standards.

Paris is the place to invest now.

Due to Olympic 2024 (even though this years Olympics have been pushed back until 2021, the 2024 Games will be held in summer of 2024), there are major infrastructure improvements from the French government to improve traffic and new rails to improve livability around Paris. The current Paris will be enlarged, from original 20th districts to become 40th (!) districts.

New districts which become the Big Paris will be formed in 2021. All new infrastructures will be placed around 2023 when Olympic begins …
so if you’re interested in investing in this beautiful city, your time ist now 😉

Andrew Carnegie famously said: "90% of all millionaires become so through owning real estate.“ – That is an impressive number, right?

Well, this has been the case, when Mr. Carnegie ruled the steel industry in the 19th century and still largely holds true today.
What makes a person part of the 1%? It's his mindset.
The 1% defines wealth differently than the other 99%. While for the rest of us, wealth means hard earned cash, which is defined by your bank account, for the 1% "wealth" actually refers to purchases that produce money without your doing.

In simple words: assets.

Another great day after going though the last bit of renovation details with our contractor for our latest acquisition project. It's pretty much a dump right now, but in just a few months we'll have transformed them into two brand new one-bedrooms!
