Getting inside the church Sacré-Cœur Basilica, you will be enchanted by the mystical atmosphere. The massive mosaic under the altar describing Christ in Glory is the largest mosaic of France and among the largest mosaics in the world. There is no ticket to get in, but it is possible to wait in the queue a little bit for the security check. Taking photos is not allowed inside the basilica.

Since the island had once been the heart of the city, the remnants of royal buildings are still around. Conciergerie had ironically served the royalties in the medieval times, but it was used as well as a courthouse and prison during the revolution. Just next door, Saint-Chapelle was the most prestigious shrine for royals that still stuns the visitors today.

Located at the eastern end of the Champs-Elysées, in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, Place des Concorde is the largest square with an area about 19 acres.
With its majestic dimensions, the Place de la Concorde is one of the most attractive squares in the city and offers a sensational perspective of the city's landmarks. In one direction, you can admire the Arc de Triomphe and in the other, the Louvre, while the Eiffel Tower can been seen in the distance. At the center is an Egyptian obelisk, which was presented to Charles X by the Viceroy of Egypt. During summer, there is a Ferris wheel here.

The center provides a very high quality of food and service at the restaurants. The most renowned one is Creatures Paris, with a complete city view on the top of the building. The Musée du Louvre in Paris is perhaps the most famous museum in the world. As a result, it’s also one of the busiest visitor attractions. Entrance to the Louvre is €15. Entrance is free for everyone aged under 18 all year, and under 26s on Friday evenings. On the first Saturday of each month between 6pm and 9.45pm, and all day on Bastille Day (14 July), entrance is free for everyone. Be warned though, the galleries get even busier at these times. It was originally the church of a Benedictine abbey founded in the 6th century, by Childebert I, the son of Clovis, King of the Franks. It was destroyed by the Vikings, rebuilt, and renamed in the 8th century for Saint Germain, an early Bishop of the city. It is considered the oldest existing church in Paris.

Simone de Beauvoir, Jean-Paul Sartre and Karl Lagerfeld, who lived nearby, were frequent guests here. Even today, it is still popular with literary men and intellectuals.

The café de Flore, which opened in 1887, owes its name to the goddess Flora, whose statue stood on the opposite side of the street. Interesting souvenirs are sold in the attached souvenir shop.
