Happy to announce after a great meeting with ABRSM, I am now able to offer up their new exam syllabus for my pupils. They have an exciting new drum syllabus added to their criteria and I look forward to teaching it to any pupils looking towards using them.

For a pupil of mine that requested I play this as she is going to see The Rocky Horror Picture show for the first time in Aberdeen at the HMT this week. One of the few shows I didn't get to play for when I was doing the theatre gigs. Would have been great fun. Been a while but one take and full of mistakes as promised. Shows no such thing as perfection.

Had a lot of requests for The Killers as the fun piece this week, due to them playing the Reading and Leeds festival. So as promised, I did a quick version of their timeless classic Mr Brightside. Hard to believe this was out when I was at school learning drums.

So from this month onwards, I have decided to introduce you to some of my pupils and let you see what we get up to in lessons. Every month I am going to have a pupil of the month and let them tell you all about themselves and perform for you.

Just want to wish all my pupils and parents a happy summer. Hope you all have some great time off. Look forward to hearing all the stories when you come back. Classes start up again the week starting August 22nd. If you need anything before then though please just give me a shout. Happy to help.

My little superstar Sienna couldn't hide her excitement at passing her grade 1 exam! Super proud of her!!!!

So we made it to the end of another term. Hope all my pupils and parents have a lovely break. I know I will. Proud of another clean sweep of exam passes from my pupils. You all make me so proud! Take care and catch you guys when we come back the week of April 18th.
