WE ARE RECRUITING!
We are looking for seasonal staff preferably starting in the next 2-3 weeks until October (permanent positions may be available).

FRONT OF HOUSE/BAR STAFF mainly evenings & weekends, flexible rota. Experience preferred but not essential.

CHEF - Commis and Sous Chef able to work as part of a team or with minimum supervision on quieter shifts.

CLEANER/HOUSEKEEPER - To assist current staff &/or cover days off usually 9-2pm

Salary/wages depending on experience but above minimum wage plus tips.

Front of House Staff Wanted to join our small hard-working team

Waiting tables & checking-in residents, taking telephone table bookings etc.
Immediate start available, flexible shift pattern, full or part-time.
Wage between £10 & £12/hour (plus tips) depending on experience.
We’re looking for someone with a mature, sensible attitude with good communication & customer service skills, able to work alone or as part of a team.
Own transport essential due to location.

We’re back in the light (& heat!). We will be open from 12 noon but please be aware that we will have a limited menu whilst we replace all our fridge & freezer stock & most of our ingredients won’t be delivered until tomorrow. Thank you.

It is looking increasingly likely that power will not be restored until late this evening or possibly into tomorrow, so we will remain closed tonight & hope we can re-open tomorrow. Another evening spent wrapped up in front of the gas fire! Will update this page in the morning.

ONGOING POWER CUT
Latest update from Northern Powergrid is that they hope to have power restored by 6pm tonight.
Our temporary power supply that has kept our internet & phones online will likely run out during the day so we apologise in advance if you have been unable to contact us. We will be closed until power is restored and we are unlikely to be able to provide food service this evening (but will depend on what time power is actually restored). Hope you’re all managing to stay safe. We will update this page once we’re back up & running.

Due to the high winds we are currently enduring a power cut.
We have been unable to find out any information on when this will be restored.
We will update this page when any new information is available.

Our kitchen will be closed today whilst we attend a family funeral. The bar will be open all day.

Our kitchen will also be closed at lunchtime on Thursday 27th for installation of kitchen equipment. Normal evening service will resume at 5.30pm.

Due to a number of unforeseen circumstances we will be closed from 3pm today. Our telephone lines will not be manned during this period but if your query is urgent please leave a message as these will be checked periodically.

We intend re-opening at 12.30 on Friday but this will be kept under review and any changes to this will be posted here & on our website. We apologise for any inconvenience.

What a crazy busy season it's been but I have now, Finally (!), managed to find time to update our Christmas Day & Festive Party Menu.

We are looking to hire someone with a mature attitude, reliable & conscientious with good customer service skills.
Taking & delivering food & beverage orders, dealing with telephone enquiries for room & table bookings.
A mixture of shifts available from breakfast (7.30-3), lunch & evening (12-9) & late (5-10).
Must be willing to work regular weekends & evenings.
Experience preferred. Must be able to work as part of a team or alone during quiet periods. Own transport essential due to rural location. Live-in accommodation may be available for the right candidate.

***Thursday 8th July - Due to an electric supply problem our kitchen is not open for Lunchtime Food Service today - the bar is open for drinks - Northern Power Grid have resolved the issue & normal evening service will resume at 5.30pm. Apologies for any inconvenience***

Cleaner/Housekeeper wanted to join our small friendly team.
We have a full-time & part-time position available. Main duties: clean the public areas of the bar & hotel bedrooms. Normal hours 8.30-2pm. Hourly rate between £10 & £12 per hour depending on experience.
