After a hard fought season playing in the Icing Against Male Su***de Cup the Trafford Thunder made it through the Semi Finals. Unfortunatly unable to beat a very though Coventry Cobras team the Thunder returned on Day 2 of the Coventry Playoff weekend to get Third place beating the Medway Madness 8 - 3. #traffordthunder #traffordthundericehockey #traffordthunderhockey #traffordthundericehockeyclub

Well that’s the 2nd cup game in the bag for the Trafford Thunder. With a trip over to Sheffield to play against the Sheffield Mavericks last night. The Thunder were ready for this game and went in there all guns blazing with a strong team and it wasn’t long before they got themselves on the scoreboard. The Thunder always seem to have the edge throughout the entire game with the odd glimpse of a comeback from the Mavericks but unfortunately it just wasn’t enough and with a finishing score of 15 - 3 that’s two wins in the bag for the Thunder.

The Trafford Thunder played host to the Nottingham Outlaws tonight.
Only their second game back after what seems like an eternity the Outlaws took the lead early on in the first period going 1 goal up.
This was short lived as the Thunder fought back to tie up the game before shortly after taking the lead with some unbelievable goals.

But by the end of the first period the Outlaws had tied the game back at 3-3 with all to play for.

Period 2 saw the Thunder take an impressive and un answered lead 7-3 before a cut of the ice allowing both teams start the 3rd period with a fresh surface.

With the Outlaws not backing down and things becoming a little physical the Thunder scored 3 more times before Nottingham scored a further 2 well deserved goals having the the game finish with a final score of 10-5.

Man of the match goes to Netminder Jimmy Tse.

A further celebration in the changing rooms after when Netminder Dave Elliott announced that his girlfriend is pregnant and it’s safe to say he is having a baby boy.
So huge Congratulations to Dave and his better half.
