We worry about the oral health of the children in our community. Only by bringing your children to their appointments can we help you with preventative advice and dental care. If you have booked an appointment, please attend!

Regular Dental care is an important part of your child's health.

Since April 2024, 261 children have missed appointments. This totals almost 52 hours of clinical time which could have been used to treat other patients!

Attending the practice as regularly as your dentist will advise is important for a number or reasons:

🦷 We like to provide a safe and welcoming environment for children here at Amble Dental Practice, this helps children get used to seeing us and can help to prevent phobias - building a life long habit of regular dental care

🦷 It helps to prevent tooth decay - we can apply fluoride regularly to help make teeth stronger and we can spot any problems early. This means less invasive treatment for your child and reduces the chance of them developing pain or infection.

🦷 Ensuring good oral health helps with your child's general health. Helping your child have good oral hygiene early on will ensure they have healthy gums and teeth, which will allow them to chew and speak comfortably.

🦷 At our practice we have a lovely team who are here to help you, we are always happy to answer any questions and can teach you all about how to look after your child's oral health.

If for any reason you or your child can not attend the practice for any reason, please try and give us 24 hours notice. This means we can offer the appointment to someone else.

Easter Opening Hours🐣🌸

We have opened up an extra NHS urgent care clinic tomorrow afternoon, Monday 18th March, this is open to both registered and non registered patients who have a dental emergency.

Please call the practice from 8am tomorrow morning on 01665 710678 to book in.

If you have an appointment booked into one of these clinics at a future date and would like to see if it can be moved forward to tomorrow, please also give us a ring.

We are recruiting for a Qualified Dental Nurse for a part time position!

An excellent and exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified dental nurse to join our dental group. We have three dental practices located in Northumberland. The position would be part time and at our Amble practice, however flexibility to work at Alnwick and Rothbury will be required. Lots of exciting opportunities are on the horizon as we expand the group!
Our employee package includes:

- Wages up to £15.55 per hour depending on additional qualifications.

- Pension scheme.

Also fully funded by the practice:

- GDC registration and professional indemnity.

- Opportunities for additional qualifications.

- All CPD training.

- Additional holidays available in line with attendance and length of service.

- Uniform

We are looking for a dental nurse who:

- Is enthusiastic

- Is highly motivated

- Has excellent organisational skills

- Is flexible

- Can work well in a team

- Uses initiative

We provide both NHS and private care and are extremely proud of our ambitious standards, gaining accreditation with Denplan Excel and the BDA Good Practice scheme. The team we have here is excellent and it is one we would love for you to be part of. We provide treatment across the board including implants, orthodontics, sedation RA and IV and aesthetic composite bonding, along with all the preventative care for our wonderful patients!

We have a lovely team over the three practices and have annual staff days out, get togethers at Christmas and charity fundraising events over the year with Denplan.
