I don't know about " The sun has got his hat on !" We all decided to get ours on too and head out into the Courtyard garden this afternoon, when we saw the sun was out shining 🌞🌞.
A perfect way to finish the day off...😀

Just practicing our skittle skills today ... coming along nicely. Hazel even asked for more go's and was over the moon when she managed to get a strike !😊😊

We had the honour of celebrating Norma's 94th birthday with her today...a lovely party with her friends and family.
Happy birthday Norma from everyone at Bracebridge Court... we all hope you have had a wonderful day 🎈🥳🎶🎵

A few laughs and giggles whilst playing a game snakes and ladders !!😊Then a few games of dominoes to finish off the afternoon

Our budding Bracebridge artists produced some brilliant master pieces today at our Arts and crafts to music activty. Glitter , glue.paint pencil colours and a lovely sing a long to some 1950s songs too...a very entertaining morning indeed 😊

Our Move and Groove exercise activities proved to be a fun way of keeping fit ..it's also is a perfect way to encourage better hand eye co ordination, balance and focus..
With everyone working together we managed to break our last record of keep me ups .. our new record is 77 !
I think these pictures say just how much this activity was enjoyed. 😊

Pat and Margaret got stuck in prepping some new potatoes grown in the Bracebridge Court vegetable garden ready to be cooked for lunch.
And their efforts paid off !
Thankyou to our chefs for making a wonderful lunch including the new potatoes served with fresh mint and tossed in butter.!
We can't wait for more of our homegrown produce to be ready 🙂

What a busy day we've had. After a nice coffee morning and catch up with what everyone has been up to; and some lovely songs sang by Jim and Pat, a lovely duet indeed !!, we went into the garden to see how our fruit and vegetables are coming along 😊 Mary gave us quite a lot of information about the beans. She said they're coming along very well indeed ! Our tomatoes 🍅 are now flowering so hopefully won't be long before we see some coming through. 🍅
Then Hilda and Pat noticed we had some ripe strawberries 🍓 ready to pick !
We collected them and once they were washed we all enjoyed them... we all agreed how sweet they tasted ! Watch this space for the new potatoes later in the week ! 🥔 🥔
Then in the afternoon we stepped things up with some games of bingo ! .. lots of fun and laughter was had by all oh and don't forget prizes won too ! 🙂🙂

Bracebridge thought we'd mark the start of the month of the 2024 Olympics by the carrying of the torch on our first outing of July !!😊
A trip out for a spot of lunch....good food and good company... a perfect way to start the week and to make the most of valuable social time ... 😋
Our residents even had the opportunity to thank the chef in person for their beautiful meals ... we were all told that we are welcome back anytime. 🙂

Thank you so much to the Thebeautybarn2022 for our lovely nails that you did so kindly for free.... you even gave us tea and cakes...we had a lovely time its so kind of you... the ladies have not stopped talking about it and have been showing of there nails to everyone this afternoon and we can not wait to come back next month ... if any one would like to have any treatments done then I would highly recommend please follow the page or give them a call.

Our German taste test went down a right treat but we was not to keen on the German beer we have loved our come fly with me to Germany to day with lots of stories to be told 🇧🇪🇧🇪🇧🇪🇧🇪... keep looking at our page to find out our next adventure

To finish our week in France we decided to visit La Boulangerie and La Patisserie and sample some of their cuisine 🇫🇷 We sampled some pain au chocolat, some croissants, some chocolate crepes and some toasted waffles ...all warmed with a bit of cream on the side 😋 délicieux!
We finished off by learning a few key words and then having a giggle with some props .. 😀
An eventful week indeed. Our passport will be stamped for France... I wonder where we will be off to next 🤔🙂
