Mind needs stillness but body needs movement - if like me youโre sat at a desk all day, walking meditation may give you the best of both worlds. Try this on your lunch break:
Repeat your mantra or a mantra, synchronised with your breath and with your steps. Try not to let your minder wander, and if it does, just come back to the breath and mantra each time you drift ๐๏ธ
Especially good for making the most of the waning sunshine in the northern hemisphere โ๏ธ

๐Monday Mantra: My Body is a Miracle, and I give it what it needs... ๐
Yoga teaches us that we are more than just a physical body. We have many layers; five to be exact. These are called Panchakoshas - Five Sheaths.
We will explore the first of the five sheaths in my class this week; Anamaya Kosha, the food sheath (our physical body).
How well do you look after your body? How do you feel about your body? How do you talk and think about your body?
A wise man once said:
"Enjoy your body, use it every way you can. Don't be afraid of it, or what other people think of it. It's the greatest instrument you will ever own." (name that song ๐)

๐Monday Mantra: "I speak up for myself"๐
We are exploring the Visuddha Chakra in class this week. Located in the throat and to do with expressing your truth and being authentic. How many times have you kept quiet and made yourself small to fit in or to not make a fuss?
We will work on loosening the neck and shoulders and think about how we can align with our highest truth and express that creatively and honestly.
Sarvangasana or shoulderstand is one of my favourite poses and is great at balancing Visuddha Chakra ๐ง๐
