Greek Toe: When the second toe is longer than the big toe.

Venus de Milo has it, Leonardo de Vinci’s Vitruvian man has it, Michelangelo's David has it.

Are you one of the 15–20 percent of the population to have it; a Greek toe, or foot, medically known as Morton’s toe?

If so, in ancient Greece, you would have been considered creative, have great leadership qualities and be the life and soul of the party.

Ancient Greeks, rather than following the boring rule of proportion, as the Egyptians, centuries before them did, went with the "Golden Ratio", or " Divine Proportion", the root of sacred geometry.

Examples of the "Golden Ratio", were to be found everywhere in ancient Greece; in art, sculpture, architecture and yes, even in toes!

Today is a very special day for Heaven Scent. 22 years ago I decided to make a massive career change from being a lawyer to a Holistic Therapist!

My usual working hours are Monday to Friday 9am til 4pm but I’m happy to announce I can do 8am appointments for the summer months to help those who start work at 9am.

Do you ever wonder why your toes get corns or are so painful ? It maybe that your toes are getting squashed in your shoes !!

I DONT suggest you cut the bottoms out tho to find out but it’s something to think of if you do suffer !

Foot binding, or footbinding, was the Chinese custom of breaking and tightly binding the feet of young girls in order to change their shape and size. Feet altered by footbinding were known as lotus feet, and the shoes made for these feet were known as lotus shoes.
In late imperial China, bound feet were considered a status symbol and a mark of feminine beauty. However, foot binding was a painful practice that limited the mobility of women and resulted in lifelong disabilities.

Look at these nasty little hard corns/calluses ! Final photo shows after one treatment on the right foot. I did do the left one too of course 😜. But my lovely patient can walk now comfortably xx

If you can’t beat them - join them 🤣🤣🐾🐾🐾

Pressure calluses are caused when a foot continuously rests on the floor due to immobility and are so sore. First treatment done today and already looks better xx
