After careful consideration we have decided to join a number of other local businesses in closing tomorrow (Thursday) to ensure the safety of our staff.

We aren’t ones to scaremonger nor do we believe everything we read on the news or social media - however we do feel that as a business that employs a number of younger staff who would have to make their way to and from work during planned protests it’s the safest way we can protect our staff.

We respect everyone’s right to protest and to make their voices heard and we hope that the event tomorrow goes ahead without disruption or disturbance.

We thank the Glassworks management team for their reassurances and their commitment to support our business however we feel this is the correct thing for us to do.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and we hope to be back open on Friday as normal.

We as a family run business couldn’t even comprehend the pain those left behind will feel and at times like these there truly are no words strong enough to express the sadness everyone involved will feel.
