Hi folks, followers and lovely supporters. For a number of well considered reasons - Blueshores is stepping away for a while. For quite a long time, I have felt really conflicted about trying to make art as a living - it isn't working on so many levels - personally & professionally.

My online shop is closed for the foreseeable and - although I will still be following & supporting all my fellow artists & friends, I'm having a break from making and churning art that I've fallen out of love with.

I'm hoping to return, one day. I cannot foresee a time when the coast won't make me happy - but for now, it's time to try something different.

It’s been another physically challenging year and one that I end 2023 still broken and in pain - I’ve had some successes - yet, many more tough days as an artist 😊 I’m going to step away for a few weeks - have a break - regroup and work out what continuing looks like 🤔

Textile art remains an incredibly satisfying outlet for my soul - and regardless, I shall keep making and playing with blue sparkly swirls 💙🩵🌊🌀🌊🩵💙

My online shop remains open always- but there’s no guarantee that anything will arrive in time for Christmas now 🎄

Simplicity 💙🌊⛵️🌊💙 Silky sail boats on an organza, satin, voile, lace, linen, cotton ocean - scrappy fabric at its best 😊

So much sea glass went into ‘life spirit’ hundreds of pieces - all representing a beach wander and ponder 🤔 There’s also pebbles, beads, crystals and stones - all carefully placed to create this gorgeous spiral 🌀 of beach life - in my favourite colours 💙🩵🌊🩵💙

💙❄️🥶🩵🥶❄️💙 Studio prettiness here this icy morning - getting loaded up for the Marwood Christmas Fair this afternoon from 2-4 - its in the most beautiful church & is always absolutely lovely 🥰 - off to deice the car 🚙 🥶

Hurry Home just drifted into my online shop - painted by me - in deeply textured shimmering acrylics - and embellished with sea glass - this little boat is looking for its forever dock 💙🌊⛵️🌊💙

When texture hunting is everything and textiles answer the call 😊💙🌊💙😊 Obviously sticking to my signature colours 😂 I’ve taken a deep dive into layering fabrics and then using stitching for depth - and is it ever paying off!

My next show is in the gorgeous Marwood 13thc Church on Saturday Dec 2nd from 2-4 another glorious local Christmas craft event 😊🎄😊🎄😊 I’ll be there with my Dad, who’s bringing all his wood turned plates and bowls 🥰 Looking forward to it 😊

Cozy winter cottages are my thing this year - with sparkly bead decorated trees and frosty 🥶 atmospheres of winter magic ✨

Had a nice wander around my old haunt Bideford-I was dropping off a painting that’s included in the Winter Lights exhibition at Art Upstairs an gallery showcasing works from North Devon & Torridge artists and makers - so lovely to be included! It’s opening tomorrow 10-4.30 and i’ve had a preview and know it is well worth the visit 😊

Gorgeous skies and gentle light at the end of a busy day - the horses are ambling about in the field and the beech tree is shedding its leaves all over everything-enjoying the calm 😊

Ooooooooohhhhh blue swirly sparkly stuff - just how I like it 💙🩵🌊🌀🌊🩵💙 Lots of fabric scraps - stitched together with over 20 different thread colours - raw edge appliqué and free motion embroidery 😊
