Merry Christmas everyone! Thank you to clients old and new that have continued to show their support through these challenging times. I wish you all a happy and healthy new year. X
Happy new year to all, and thank you to everyone has supported me this year, which has undoubtedly been very challenging for everybody. I really hope that 2021 will be a better year. But even though we may not have had loads of money from 2020 or other shiny things, we do have success in other small ways, and much more that we should be grateful for. I wish you all a healthier and happier 2021.
Preparing to return to work to keep everyone safe. All we need is a government announcement now!

Hi everyone, I am preparing to return to work. Please find new covid-19 policies and information below. I am working to keep all my clients safe and well through this period. If anyone has any questions please contact me.
Preparing to return to work policy:
• I will not be returning to work until my insurance company the FHT has agreed that giving home treatments is safe.
• Client appointments will be limited to a maximum of 3 per day, to give me time to take my equipment home and clean/disinfect it properly in between treatments.
• I will ask for BACs payments. If this is not possible please provide all cash in a sealed envelope
• All clients will be sent this returning to work policy before treatment, to ensure that they are comfortable with these new procedures.
Prior to treatment:
• A Covid -19 Questionnaire will need to be completed by every client before treatment. This questionnaire will provide information on who is vulnerable.
• I will not be treating vulnerable people unless the client signs a disclaimer to acknowledge their vulnerability, and take full responsibility that they have decided to continue treatment against my advice. I will also seek advice from your GP to continue treatment.
• All paperwork will be sent and signed electronically prior to treatment. E.g. via email
• If it is not possible to fill in paperwork electronically. I will take a hard copy of paperwork with me and the client will use their own pen to sign.
• I will be carrying out temperature checks before treatment on myself and my clients. If the individual’s temperature exceeds 37.8C I will refuse treatment.
• As a therapist I will be signing my own Covid-19 questionnaire and checking my temperature prior to treatment.
• Records will be held on temperature checks for Track and Trace purposes
During treatment:
• Wiping client’s hands and feet prior to treatment with alcohol wipes or sanitiser.
• I will be wearing PPE for the duration of my visit. This will include a face masks and an apron that will be fresh for every client.
• Clients don’t have to wear PPE in their own home unless this makes them comfortable. But be assured that I will be wearing PPE.
• A fresh wax spatula will be used for each client
• I will adapt treatments so that I am socially distant from the clients face. This will mean that I cannot perform treatment on the neck, upper body, arms, hands – unless the client is lying prone.
General hygiene:
• All waste linens and equipment will be disposed of appropriately.
• Linens will be fresh for every client, and will be washed at 60C
• The massage bed will be washed and disinfected straight after treatment
• My car will be regularly disinfected to avoid contamination
• I will put on hand sanitiser before treatment in front of the client.
• I will wash my hands with my own soap and hand sanitiser after treatment
• I will keep touching surfaces in the home to a minimum. But please be aware it is advisable to clean any shared surfaces after I have departed. E.g. Taps, door handles
Hi everyone. I have had a few questions lately on whether I am still practicing or not. Unfortunately at the moment I am still unable to. Others members of the profession are yet to return, and there has been no government announcement regarding massage therapists being able to work. Until it is safe to do so I will not be practicing. I could wear ppe but it would be very strange to receive a massage with gloves on. Even more of a challenge to stay 2 metres apart.
When I finally can return to work, my hours may be limited to certain days or times. But until I know more, I will let you know too. Thanks for sticking with me through these times, and it is so great to hear that loads of you are still interested in my work. Take care everyone, and see you on the other side of this! C x
Hi everyone 🤗 just another coronavirus post to add to your news feed.
For the protection of senior members of the community, I will soon be taking steps to not treat anyone over the age of 70. (Yes I do have quite a few clients over 70). This will happen when the government announce that senior citizens should self isolate.
If you are fit, well and below 70, I currently welcome any bookings. But please be aware that this may change if government guidance changes. This is a rapidly changing situation.
Please do not book with me if you are self isolating, recently been abroad, come into contact with anyone with the virus, or you have symptoms such as coughing or a high temperature.
I would like to assure everyone that I take great hygiene care in my equipment and my self. I would not confirm a booking if I was displaying any cold/flu/any viral symptoms as a general rule.
Please lookout for those senior citizens who might need you help during these hard times. I hope everyone keeps well, strong and healthy.
I look forward to resuming normal business as soon as possible.
