Today we start the preparation for a CCTV install in this beautiful old church that dates back to the 13th Century. The original system we installed over 25 years ago. Time to move to HD IP. It’s a sad fact it is needed at all but recently someone has even been pinching the candles

Down on the farm today installing 4G broadband. Improved on the 1.6 down and 0.7 up from a BT landline to 44 down and 5 up with some EE from a local mast. This weeks sale - a vintage Technics SL1200 MK2 I'm selling on behalf of Tarka Radio. Good working order and not used much for many years. Currently fitted with a Stanton cartridge. This is the last of the four the station owned. They never had excessive use and all four went through my workshop for a refurbish not that many years ago, worked on by Ian (for those of you who know him - a very accomplished engineer). I'll be looking for sensible offers around £200. It's not yet advertised on Ebay etc., as I thought I'd offer it up to my friends and customers first..... An interesting call today to look at an RX problem with a LANSat digital cinema system on Intelsat 10-02 in a local theatre. Not seen one of these before, quite interesting. Working with our local partner Harris-Tandy we tracked down a faulty LNB connection and so the customer was all set to screen another live event scheduled for the next day.
