After my unit was involved in a fire in January,I felt a world of emotions,despair to numbness to worry and questioning my future.
When you're at your lowest you find out who's got your back,I'll never forget those people who've helped me, especially some who've only known me for a short time and businesses that helped me.

After a stressful few weeks dealing with insurance and there forensics,being made to feel like I'd caused the fire....I really struggled to get back to work from a van again.

But time has passed and more importantly I'm feeling a lot more positive and have gone back to basics and as far as I'm concerned,if I've got my family and friends I've got everything.

I decided not to go back to the unit as I couldn't shake the anxiety I felt and a gut feeling that told me to move on. Always listen to your instincts!

It's been a year I'll remember and learn a lot from !

From now on,I'm staying as a mobile alloy wheel and smart repair business.
A lot has happened in the last few weeks and I was excited to get back in the unit,but ultimately I have to listen to my gut.
Without going too much into it ,the electric bills for those units were ridiculous,we could never get the meter working properly and the thought of going through this again doesn't bear thinking about.

I can do this job from my van as I've done before and although it has its ups and down it's certainly a lot less stressful and cheaper way to run a business.

Keep an eye out for my van as it'll be smart soon and sign written.

No more dwelling on the past time to look ahead with a fresh start!

Well we are close to getting back in there,after 6 months ! Lots of sorting out and excited for the future again.

Thank you to my regular trade customers who have been patient and stuck by me these last few months! Still got a lot of decisions to make moving forward but one thing is for sure I won't let the fire deter my hunger to succeed.

Well the unit is slowly being repaired and refurbished must be a couple of months left yet tho. It's not easy going back to being on a van.

Having invested in equipment and settling up a new workshop for it all to go up in smoke is just something I can't still now get my head around and it pi**es me off no one will be held accountable despite what the fire service report says.

I've got to plan for the future,try and think positively and invest in it again and move on, hopefully a few more weeks and I'll be able to get back to some normality

I did write a long message having a rant about the fire and the insurance and all the s**t that's gone on but instead I'm just here to say, hopefully in a 3-4 months we will be back in the workshop.

The last few months have been testing to say the least.

Im mobile again because of the fire and just still now finding my feet getting back into the swing of things again.
Please provide location,you need to have space for a lwb van and access to 2 separate power sockets and a flat drive for me to do it at your location.

I repair and paint wheels,I don't get involved with corroded wheels or ones that are flaking, although if it's a diamond cut face corroded we can sort that out.

During this awfully s**t start to the year for the business,I've really been shown some incredible support from local businesses. A helping hand,a van that came at a good price,parts for said van,help with painting and fitting them. Friends helping me kit the van out,being offered a place to set up and work as space can be a issue on some sites...

Dealerships staying with me and waiting till I'm able to get back, people helping me store some of my equipment which is smoke damaged,and my local paint supplier helping me in a time of need.

I am not fully back full time as there's still a few bits to sort out and insurance is a constant battle it feels.

The workshop is months away from being sorted.

For the time being at least I am van based and this wouldn't be happening without help from a lot of good people.

Over 2 months gone by still no further forward with the workshop. Insurance still dragging it out. Not sure if and when we'll be back there at this rate. Frustrating but when I go there now my heart just sinks to see it all in ruins and having to start again,if I can even afford too.

Sunday night rant over

Spent last 2-3 weeks sorting the van out,still bit more to do but it's a lot better. Hopefully be able to get out there soon . . This will be my workshop for the foreseeable future so had to get it workable.

We don't do corroded wheels,neither do we do alloy welding straightening or powder coating.

I think this is week 8 coming up since the fire,still no further with anything on the unit,could be months until I'm back in a workshop,if I can survive that long is the question, although I've got a van I've had to do a lot of work on it to get it how I want it. Plus it's rained every day for about 3 months here !

Insurance is a necessary evil,you need it but never want to have to deal with this happening.

I'm only doing trade work I'm not taking any retail work on until I have got back to a premises I have to prioritise the trade as they've kept me going since I started.

The come back will be better than the set back!

Back on the road.

4 weeks without working and worrying today I am going back to my routes in a van.

Still can't get my head around what's happened it's been the hardest week yet.
