Another victory yesterday saw us beat Wick Cricket Club by 5 wickets in a spirited contest that went down to the last over!

Wickets for Stez, Joe and Kuldeep restricted Wick to 189-9 off 40 overs. Top knocks by Matt and Cheese set us up with Joe and Stez finishing it off with 35* and 25* to guide us home with 5 balls to spare.

Cheers to the Wick boys for returning to the West End afterwards for a few post match beers watching the rugby 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 🏉

BWECC team to play Wick Cricket Club on Sunday afternoon at Barry Oval, Barry Island 🏝🏏

Another win for the West End yesterday, beating friends & foes the Wanderers Barry Wanderers Cricket Club by 5 wickets to go 2-0 up in the Pete the Cheat Cup Series 🏆

A top knock once again by Matt Lowrie (96*) guided the West End to another victory 🏏

West End XI to play Pentyrch Cricket Club in our final game of the Vale of Glamorgan Midweek League campaign this evening

BWECC made it two wins in two days when they beat Upottery Cricket club yesterday on the Island by 4 wickets in a famous victory.. first time in a number of years!

A good bowling performance across the board was folllwed up by top knocks by H, Matt L and Ash, which saw us set up nicely with the Ewington’s seeing us across the line with 3 balls to spare 🏏

It was the Lowrie show as we come out winners by 6 wickets v yesterday on Dinas Common. Thanks to the DP boys for their usual hospitality and good humour 🏏🍺

West End team to play Dinas Powys Cricket Club at Dinas Common this afternoon. 1pm start.

Team to play Upottery Cricket club on their tour of South Wales next Monday (14th) August.

Barry West End won by 2 wickets on Sunday v Penydarren Country XI in a low scoring and spirited contest.

A fine 79 run 7th wicket partnership between 20yr old “Giraffe” and 15 yr old “Sausage” recovered the West End from 59-6 to chase down 138.

Special mention to Tommy, opening the bowling, returning the outstanding figures of 5-4-2-1! 🏏😎
