Our Nippers really saved their best performances for last!!! What a great way to end the season with a bang by taking 1st place in Whitmore Bay’s carnival yesterday! 🥇🥇🔥🔥

The team spirit was on fire as always, team mates supporting teams mates and having a few laughs along the way. Rhoose dominated the beach- taking all top 3 positions in a few races! 😱

And that’s it the last competition of the season! Open Nationals 2024 the pinnacle of lifesaving at Fistral Newquay and what a weekend!

The first time in years we have taken a proper team to Open Nationals and we took an amazing 5th place with only 9 competitors! 🥳👏🏻🔥

A great weekend and lots of fun was had by all, especially having a club tent! Minus the fact of Connie’s broken paddle 😨

Shout out to our top supporters of Andy, Andrew, Sol, Mabli, Leon and Oliver. Although you didn’t do as great of a job carrying the kit!!!!

Almost 90 Nippers came together this evening from Rhoose, Whitmore & Vale lifeguard clubs for a fun sea session. What a great evening finished off with hotdogs & sweets sold by Whitmore. Thanks to everyone who helped out and to all the Nippers for joining in! 💙💚🩷

Well what can we say other than Evie Wong you simply smashed it! 🔥🔥

To come away with silver in the Surf Ski race whilst representing Team GBR in her first Open World Championships is simply amazing! 🥈🥈

You led that race right from the very start and to be the second best in the world is very well deserved. All your hard work, dedication and commitment has paid off.

She has not only showed her strength in the sea but also on the beach. Taking 5th in the sprints, making her first ever A FINAL at a world champs- another amazing achievement! 👏🏻👏🏻

She also achieved 20th in flags, 6th in the beach relay, 4th in Ocean Relay (Taplin) and 7th in the Mixed Ocean Relay.

Amazing results achieved at the home of surf lifesaving. You have done your Club and Country proud. 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿💙

Another great board session tonight for the masters run by Stuart and the Juniors run by Karen, although I think the juniors would have preferred to play in the waves!

Special shout out to one of our Nippers Ember Davies for her vigilant lifesaving skills tonight. Whilst the juniors were out training, Karen noticed a young boy in difficulty in the waves and directed Bryce to go out and check he was ok. In the meantime Ember had already spotted the boy herself, paddled over and gave him her nipper board to use as a float until Bryce and his dad came. Well done Ember great lifesaving skills shown!
