I've been a little "blown" away with your hat orders this week 🍃

You may have noticed a little delay in your hat deliveries.... There's been so many orders that I managed to run out of yarn for some of them 😆
But don't worry, we're fully restocked and delivery is back to normal!

Hello 2022 and hello adventures new! (Too late to wish you a happy new year?) 🙌🏽
You'll notice that I've been gone a while and I'll be honest I've not had my focus on isobelscreatives.

Over the past few months I've started a new job, had the flu (which throw me sideways for a few weeks) and caught Mr Omicron...buuut most importantly I've been working on my mental health.

Like most people the start of the new year brings habitual changes and goal setting. So I've committed to go on more adventures this year, so gear up as I'm bringing you with me.

Starting to realise that summer is over. I feel weird saying that, as I was wearing flipflops two days ago! As it starts to get a little colder I guess we are going to have to begin wearing our beanies again, hey?! Such a shame 😉

I'm working on perfecting the hat sizes for different ages this week, with the aim of them going live on Etsy this weekend, yay!

I've always wanted to do a little solo hike and managed to visit pen y fan on Sunday. I struggle with self confidence sometimes and it's something I'm working on..so I've made myself a list of things I'd like to do this year (some of which I've shared with you previously) to push me out of my comfort zone.

If you're in the Bath/Bristol area and want to do some little adventuring...let's go!!

I don't usually celebrate the small things but if this year has taught me anything, it is to do just that! So I am currently doing a happy little jiggle.....🤸💃🏻

I'm currently in the process of writing the knitting pattern for the
Hand knitted baby socks
So if you're keen to have a go or fancy making them for someone you know, I'll keep you updated this week/share it with those of you who've requested it ☺️

I might even attempt to make a video for those of you who learn best visually / would like to learn to knit.

If you like to be prepared, I use 6mm needles (in the round) with Wish yarn. With an average knitting time of 1.5 hours per pair.

After having a few requests for a knitted baby set, I've finally added it onto Etsy!

I know it maybe a little soon to be thinking about Christmas but don't you reckon this would be a sweeeet newborn/baby shower gift?

This was knitted in the new colour "mauve" by . It's hard to capture how lush this colour is!

Oh hello! I thinks it's time I introduced myself to you, so here goes:

Firstly, thank you for joining me on this ride! I'm Izzie, a socially awkward a 25 year old person attempting to figure life out. I have no formal creative qualifications but love everything and anything artsy/crafty/creative. A little bit about me (see if you can relate):

* I hate having my photo taken (yes, this is a photo of me and I was v uncomfortable 😅) I will often choose a goofy face rather than I smile.

* I probably have more skeins of yarn that I do friends. I have the most fabulous friends, so I am not complaining. Also..any ideas on how to make friends at this age?.. I am all ears 👂

* I watch at least 2 hours of Netflix a day. Although I knit whilst doing so..so that's kind of productive right?

* I love anything outdoorsy and have recently bought a paddleboard to go on more adventures...might try knitting on it (bad idea?..we shall see 🌊)

* One of my goals by the end of the year is to get fit and travel the UK a little more. Anywhere you'd recommend going?

*Annd..I love any crime documentaries, books and podcasts. It maybe weird but they're so fascinating. If you have any TV series recommendations, let me know!

Sneaking back onto your screens after many weeks of silence...hi!!

Sometimes taking a break is really needed. I've been taking some time to relax, make a few changes and attempt to sort my life out 😆 (if that's even possible).
I'm at an odd age where my peers are getting married, buying houses and having babies, whereas I have just moved in with my parents at the age of 25! One thing I've learnt through the past year, is that comparing your life to others can be so damaging. Everyone takes a different route, which leads to so many exciting experiences. So if you don't know what you're doing with your life/self..I'm in the same boat, let's enjoy the ride!!

On a business note...
I'm still keeping my Etsy on "holiday mode" for another week or two but if you have any requests please send me a message ☺️

Sometimes life throws you a curve ball and gosh have I been thrown one this week.

This is has been a good time to reflect, take a break and reassess a few things.

Don't worry, isobelscreatives isn't going anywhere - I am very much using knitting as my therapy at the moment!

Crikeeey it's been over a week since I've shared anything 🤭 how unacceptable!

My needles have had non-stop action to make these teenie tiny socks this week. I still have about 8 pairs to knit by Monday but this yarn is an absolute pleasure to knit with, so there's no complaining from me!

This colour 🤩 It would be rude not to try this yarn out. I'm attempting something I've never done before- a jumper - nothing has gone wrong yet (touch wood).

I sit everyday with my wheatpack on my lap to keep me warm whilst working 💻

I'm up early this morning, knitting some socks 😅 oh what an adventurous life I lead!

100% think that knitting and collecting/buying yarn are two different hobbies. I can't decide which one I enjoy more 😆

I knitted my first pair of socks a year ago, when I was furloughed! Crazy to think that these hands have knitted over 40 pairs of socks! And I still love it!

On another note...A while ago you would have seen a little rabbit muslin toy on my Instagram feed..I am currently taking steps towards getting a CE check..this makes sure the toy is safe for your little ones to cuddle. I'll keep you up to date with my progress!

Do you ever have those weeks where you don't feel quite yourself? I had one of those this week.
My brain is manic and I'm a little all over the place. Sorry for being a little quiet on here - definitely in need of a bit of relaxation this weekend to clear my head ☺️
It's the little things that help boost my mood (yogurt, fruit and granola always works).

On a side note - this wheat pack colour looks so different in every photo I take. Sometimes grey, sometimes more of a bluey green - thank you for helping me decipher what the colour is. Duck egg ended up being the most popular opinion!
