Former soldiers Richard Best and Darroch Davidson have been walking all of their lives in some of the most challenging parts of the world... not always for fun!! Now settled in Bath the pair are looking to share their passion for walking in Bath’s stunning hills as well as bringing the local, natural and military history to life.

Local walks with friends inspired the idea of the "Bath Marches" which is a new event for the South West's 2019 outdoor calendar taking place on Saturday 13th July. Starting and finishing in the beautiful city of Bath, the event comprises 2 challenge walks of 9 and 15 miles. Whilst the routes follow established footpaths, the terrain presents plenty of challenges and good levels of fitness will be required by all those taking part.

The event will be managed by an experienced team of outdoor experts and will to appeal to all ages. Along the route, the support team will share details of the local and natural history. The event aims to attract teams from businesses, schools and the military who will be able to take part in a number of "Team Challenges".
