Next week we'll be raising money in all of our sessions and hosting our own Macmillan Coffee Mornings (and afternoons!). 💚

Any contributions of cakes, biscuits or treats would be great (shop bought or home made!) and I will ensure that there are allergy friendly options too. No nuts please!

There will be a collection pot available for cash donations or a QR code to scan and donate online.

Our little artists have been busy creating dragons this week, including some first handprints for our Baby graduates that have now moved up to Toddlers! 🖌👣🖐

A re-share of our top tips for attending a Pickle and Pea Play session! 😀

Could I please also ask that nappies are disposed of in designated nappy bins only. All of our venues have baby changing toilets with a specific bin in for nappies.

It's Castles, Knights & Dragons' theme this week. The costume box will be out but you are welcome to come dressed in your own too!

⭐️ Top tips for coming to your Pickle and Pea session ⭐️

1. Shoes off in the hall (adults and children please!)
2. Pack spare clothes for your little one! Extra wipes can be handy too but we do provide these at trays (grown ups, maybe don't wear your best clothes either! 😆)
3. Bring kids' water bottles.
4. Bring a reusable mug for your hot drink. Drinks and biscuits are provided for grown ups.
5. Children's snacks are given during story time at the end of Toddler sessions, but if you give your little one a snack from home please eat this sat at the side of the hall and wipe hands afterwards as we have others attending with allergies.
NO nuts brought in please!

Bonus tip- some families bring a towel to help with baby clean up and a bag to pop any messy bits in! 👌

And most importantly... embrace it all and have lots of fun learning through play! 😀

How old was your little one when you started coming to P&P?
"Isla started when she was around 9 weeks old, we started attending the Stewartby baby group on a Monday.

What is their favourite part of sessions?
We now attend the toddler sessions and Isla loves the free play, snack time and bubbles!!

What is your fondest P&P memory to date?
Oh this is a hard one to answer! For us it has been the friends we have made that quite frankly will be friends for life not just for Isla but for me & her big brother!

Why do you choose to bring your little one to our sessions?
I had taken my eldest to baby groups when he was little and after I had Isla I came across Chloe and her wonderful classes which were literally on our doorstep and so so welcoming from the moment we walked in! So for me there was no need to look any further. The classes as structured to suit the age group and with Chloe’s background in early years education you know you are in excellent hands to support your little one’s development!

🌻 Garden Party Babies 🌻

Here's what our youngest Pickles got up to in our last summer sessions...

Well, we have a lot of new fans of Coco Pops it seems! 😋 Our Babies had lots of fun splashing in the flower and herb water, scooping the scented lavender petals and digging in the edible mud!

Tall towers were built (and knocked down, of course!), we had tea parties, investigated sensory lights and created pretty posy footprints. What busy Babies! 🥰

📖 Bed Time Story Tonight at 6pm 📖

It's THE big school day for some of our big Pickles and for others, it's fast approaching! So I thought I'd do one more story about starting school.

It's also a lovely, simple story for learning how we all have different strengths and talents, and we can keep learning to acquire new ones ❤️💪

Good luck to all of the big Pickles beginning their school adventures over the next few weeks! Be brave, be yourself, be friendly to everyone... I know you will all have the absolute best time ❤️

And to all of the parents, Grandparents and carers- go home after that first school run, have a cuppa and allow yourself to feel whatever way you're feeling! It's a huge milestone, another adjustment to your lives as you know it and very emotive!

Garden Party Toddlers last week 🌻🌿💜

It was lovely to welcome some older siblings to our Pickle gang too 🥰 They always get so engrossed in the play, which just highlights how we need more of a play based learning experience in schools (but I won't start that rant now 😆).

Lots of lavender play dough creations made, floral perfumes mixed, cress seeds sown, cocoa mud scooped, butterflies painted and more! 🌸

Something I’m very passionate about is making sure THAT YOU ARE IN THE PICTURE. If you’re anything like me, you’ll have 100’s of lovely pictures of your littles with others but so few are taken of you and them. Let’s fix that!

In the ‘Pop up Portrait’ you’ll get 3 edited, digital portraits to cherish always. And the total cost of it is £25.

Book your ‘Pickle & Pea Play’ space with Chloe and I’ll be there to capture your timeless portraits at the below dates.

You’ll pay for your portraits during the class and receive them no later than 3 weeks after the class via email.
